During a recent interview, an actress from the upcoming Marvel movie Thunderbolts announced she’s stepping away from acting for a while and shared what’s next for her character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What MCU star opened up about potentially taking a break?

Olga Kurylenko, known for her roles as Taskmaster in Black Widow and a cameo in Thunderbolts, recently told ComingSoon that she’s considering taking a break from acting after appearing in many films.

Kurylenko described her work schedule as relentless. She admitted she’s been working so consistently that she sometimes forgets what projects she’s even been in, and actually had to check her filmography on IMDB. She even noted that not everything she’s done is listed there yet! She’s feeling burnt out and plans to take a break, but emphasizes that she’s enjoyed every film she’s made, just not at this constant pace.

Kurylenko also discussed the strong reactions from Marvel fans, some of whom were disappointed her character died early in the film. She admitted she was surprised by the decision and isn’t sure if she’ll have a chance to reprise the role in the future.

Olga Kurylenko admitted she’s unsure about her future with Marvel, explaining it’s difficult to gauge what the studio considers a success or what their overall plans are. She noted that Marvel is currently re-evaluating its characters and storylines, and the recent movie reflected that shift. It seems they’ve decided to reduce the number of characters, even removing some altogether. Kurylenko doesn’t know what direction Marvel will take next, but understands they’re aiming for something fresh, though she isn’t sure what that will be.
