CBS, owned by Paramount (a company with ties to Trump), will temporarily pause the Survivor finale for viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones to broadcast the President’s address. The show will resume after the speech. Trump announced the address on Truth Social, stating it will be live from the White House and highlighting what he considers a successful year for the country. He jokingly alluded to the Survivor finale, suggesting the “best is yet to come” – perhaps referencing a victory for contestant Savannah Nation.
The season finale of Survivor starts at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and will narrow the final five contestants down to one winner. The players competing for the title are Savannah Louie, Sage Ahrens-Nichols, Sophi Balerdi, Kristina Mills, and Rizo Velovic. However, Savannah is the clear favorite – she’s dominated the immunity challenges and is incredibly determined. Some speculate that the timing of a recent address was intentionally scheduled to keep the suspense alive if you’re rooting for Rizo. Despite this, it’s unlikely Rizo will use his hidden immunity idol to save himself.
