Phasmophobia, the popular indie horror game from Kinetic Games, is celebrating the holidays with its Winter’s Jest event. This year’s theme features Krampus, and players can find special items and activities while investigating spooky, Christmas-themed locations.
Winter’s Jest is back for 2025 with some new twists! It might take a little exploring to understand everything, so here’s a guide to help you join in and get the rewards.
How to Unlock 2025 Winter’s Jest Event in Phasmophobia

You can start the Winter’s Jest event by downloading the Winter’s Jest update (version 0.15.1.0), which was released on December 16, 2025.
You can jump into this seasonal event at any level! However, to play on some of the event’s maps, like Nell’s Diner and Bleasdale Farmhouse, you’ll need to reach a specific level and unlock them first.
All 2025 Winter’s Jest Event Maps in Phasmophobia
Like other special events in Phasmophobia, Winter’s Jest 2025 will only take place on a limited number of maps. Here’s the list of maps that will be included in the daily selection:
- 10 Ridgeview Court
- 6 Tanglewood Drive
- 13 Willow Street
- 42 Edgefield Road
- Camp Woodwind
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Grafton Farmhouse
- Maple Lodge Campsite
- Point Hope
- Nells Diner
These maps won’t always be available every day. You might see 42 Edgefield Road and Nell’s Diner one day, but not the next. If you’re hoping to play on specific maps during the event, be prepared for some variety.
Event maps are marked with a red gift box icon in the lower-right corner of their map image. If a map doesn’t have this icon, it’s not part of the event.
How to Earn 2025 Winter’s Jest Event Points in Phasmophobia
To get Event Points in Phasmophobia’s 2025 Winter’s Jest event, you first need to accept contracts on the correct maps. If you try a contract on a map that doesn’t have the event active (shown by a red gift icon), you won’t earn any points.
When you get to the location, look for the Krampus sack near the front entrance. It has a list of who’s been nice and who’s been naughty, with names under each category. Beside each name, you’ll find little symbols showing which toys Krampus has picked out for them.
Your task is to collect all the toys from each list and put them into the sack using the designated ‘throw’ button. As you collect each toy, it will be marked off the list. Once you’ve gathered all the toys for a particular name, that name will be crossed out, indicating completion.
Toys will be hidden throughout each location on the map, with plenty available to complete Krampus’s requests for any job. Keep in mind that most toys stay in the same places within a location – for instance, all the Branch presents are always in the basement of 6 Tanglewood Drive, and all the Elf presents are in the laundry room.
The potential toys you need to collect include the following:
- Branches (a bunch wrapped in a bow)
- Elf Doll (seen above; symbol resembles a doll in a dress)
- Reindeer
- Bear (playerbase has also called it a Capybara)
- Candy Cane
- Coal (three pieces wrapped in a bow)
- Rock (single block wrapped in a bow)
- Toy Soldier
- Christmas Tree
- Snowman
- Gingerbread Man
- Gold Star
If you successfully deliver all of Krampus’s requested gifts, you’ll receive a reward. This could be a snowball gun, stamina-restoring cookies, or helpful investigation equipment like an extra Crucifix.
But if you choose the wrong gift, you’ll instantly receive a sack full of coal as punishment for your error.
Aside from that, also make sure to open the red wind-up Krampus boxes for extra points.
All 2025 Winter’s Jest Event Rewards in Phasmophobia
The 2025 Winter’s Jest event offers festive rewards for all players, new and experienced. You can earn these rewards by completing contracts on specific maps and gaining event points – you’ll see your progress towards both community and personal goals after each mission.
The Community Goals bar increases based on the combined efforts of all players – any progress you make on contracts also helps fill it. Your Personal Goals bar, however, only reflects your own individual progress and isn’t affected by what other players do.
To get the Personal Goal rewards, you need to finish enough investigation contracts to earn the required event points. You can still team up with others for contracts if you’d like, which might make it easier to complete them.
In all, you can obtain the following event rewards:
- Community Goal 1 Reward – Toy Soldier ID Card and Badge
- Community Goal 2 Reward – Winter’s Jest Trophy (This is the same base trophy provided in previous Winter’s Jest events. If you already have it, your points will go towards upgrading the trophy instead.)
- Personal Goal 1 Reward – Toy Soldier ID Card and Badge (Foil version)
- Personal Goal 2 Reward – Upgrade to Winter’s Jest trophy (can be done up to 3 times)
Okay, so here’s how the goals work: As soon as we, as a community, fill up the first Community Goal bar, everyone gets the reward! Then, the next Community Goal automatically starts. With Personal Goals, it’s similar – once you fill your first bar, you unlock the reward. But after that, filling up the other bars isn’t about getting new rewards, it’s about upgrading the trophy you already earned, which is pretty cool!
How Long Does 2025 Winter’s Jest Event Last in Phasmophobia?
The Winter’s Jest seasonal event will be live for all players from December 16th at 12 PM GMT until January 6th, 2026 at 12 PM GMT, giving you three weeks to finish all the event challenges. You’ll have until the very end of the event to collect any rewards you’ve earned. Winter’s Jest is Phasmophobia’s yearly Christmas event and will be back again in December 2026.
From December 16th to 23rd, the first week of Winter’s Jest 2025 will feature double rewards! You’ll earn twice the usual XP and money for completing contracts, making it a great time to level up, earn event rewards, and climb those prestige ranks.
