Fans are surprised to see The Pitt returning so quickly! The trailer for season two is here just eight months after the first season ended. This season focuses on a single Fourth of July shift for the hospital’s doctors, meaning plenty of fireworks-related emergencies. It’s also Dr. Robby’s (Noah Wyle) last day before taking a break, and Dr. Jack Abbott (Shawn Hatosy) playfully questions if he’s ready for some downtime. To make things even more chaotic, the power goes out, prompting Robby to declare they’ll have to go old-school!
Katherine LaNasa returns as Dana Evans alongside Emmy winners Wyle and Hatosy, and her character is facing even more challenges this season. Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins, won’t be back, and neither the show nor Ifeachor have explained why. Season two of The Pitt begins January 8, nearly a year after the first season’s premiere on January 9, 2025. Fans are already wondering who Dr. Robby will focus on now!
