Today, Square Enix made demos for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade available on the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms.
If you play the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo, you’ll be able to transfer your progress to the full game when it launches on Switch 2 and Xbox. The game will recognize your demo save and reward you with bonus items. The Xbox demo is available on consoles, PCs, and handheld devices through the Play Anywhere feature. You can download the demo now on Switch 2 (currently available on the console, with a web version coming soon) and on Xbox. The demo file size is 7.9GB on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released on Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22, 2026. Players can currently enjoy the game on PlayStation 5 and PC.
You can find the new demo trailer with more details from Square Enix below:
This is a demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
This demo lets you play through the first chapter, including the iconic mako reactor bombing mission. Plus, you can transfer your progress from the demo to the full game!
Okay, so here’s a cool thing I found out: if I played the demo and saved my progress, I can get some extra goodies – “Revival Earrings” and a “Survival Set” – when the full game comes out. Pretty neat, right?
You can’t transfer progress from the demo to the full game if you’ve already started a new game in the full version. However, you can still earn the Revival Earrings and Survival Set through normal gameplay in the main game.
You can get the Revival Earrings and Survival Set by choosing the “Gift Box” option in the game’s main menu.
You can’t earn achievements while playing the demo. However, if you finish the demo and then continue your game, you’ll automatically unlock the “Onetime Gig” achievement in the full game.
