Twitch streamer Dafran got $20,000 in gifted subscriptions because a viewer really wanted him to play Overwatch 2 again. The viewer purchased the largest sub package—1000 subs—four separate times to encourage him to return.
Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca is famous for being a talented Overwatch player, but he quickly excels at almost any shooting game he tries.
This incredibly talented Danish player first became a professional Overwatch competitor, but then shifted back to streaming. Along the way, he’s taken on a lot of different jobs – he’s worked as a farmer, in construction, and even as a dishwasher!
However, he might stick with his current job now, as a fan paid a significant amount of money to convince him to switch back to playing Overwatch instead of Marvel Rivals.
Dafran gets massive payday to play Overwatch
While Dafran was playing Marvel Rivals on December 13th, a viewer named Theetoko surprised him by sending a ‘sub bomb’ – a new feature on Twitch where viewers can all subscribe at once.

So, Twitch did something pretty cool last month. Now you can gift a whopping 1000 subs to your favorite streamer all at once! Normally that would set you back six grand, but they’re offering a $1000 discount if you go for the whole bundle. It’s a big way to show some love, if you’re feeling generous!
The viewer was incredibly generous! After initially subscribing once, they continued to subscribe multiple times, ultimately donating a total of 4,000 subscriptions, which amounted to $20,000.
Francesca was blown away, especially because the fan’s request was that he “go play Overwatch.”
“I will do it,” Dafran agreed.
