The Nintendo Switch 2 is a great console, but it can be a little uncomfortable to hold and play for long periods. CRKD is aiming to fix that with their new Nitro Deck 2, designed specifically for the Switch 2. The good news is it also works with the original Switch! It’s expected to be released in Spring 2026 and will be available in White and Smoke Black, though the price hasn’t been announced yet.
If you need a new controller for your Nintendo Switch quickly, the CRKD Nitro Deck and Nitro Deck+ are great options. They usually cost between $50 and $60 and are available in colors like black, grey, and purple. The standard Nitro Deck has full-size analog sticks and triggers that respond perfectly, a traditional D-pad, four customizable back buttons, motion controls, vibration, a turbo function, and comfortable curved grips. It works with both the regular Switch and the OLED model.
The Nitro Deck+ is set up much like previous models, but it offers some key improvements. You can now connect your Switch to a TV via the USB-C port without taking it off the cradle, and it features a balanced thumbstick design. Removing the screen is also easier thanks to a new eject function, and the rumble feature has been enhanced for a better gaming experience.
