The second season of MrBeast’s Beast Games arrives on Prime Video in under a month, and MrBeast recently shared that this season will include a crossover with the reality show Survivor. He described the collaboration as “surreal” and explained that it significantly changed the competition.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is famous for his popular YouTube videos featuring challenges and generous giveaways. However, his project, Beast Games, has become one of his biggest undertakings. It started as a large-scale YouTube event based on the show Squid Game and has now become a full reality series on Prime Video, debuting in 2024.
The first season was a huge success, breaking 44 records! Its $5 million prize was the largest ever given on a non-scripted reality TV show, surpassing even the prize for Squid Game: The Challenge.
Chapter two introduces a new twist: a competition between 100 strong competitors and 100 smart competitors. This season also features a major crossover with the reality show, Survivor, bringing even more changes to the game.
MrBeast talks “surreal” Survivor crossover with Beast Games Season 2
Beast Games is back for a second season with a new twist! This season combines the show’s traditional challenges with elements inspired by the reality show Survivor, and Jeff Probst from Survivor will even be there as a guest.
TopMob got an early look at Season 2 and heard from MrBeast about the new collaboration. When asked what surprised him most, he said, “Honestly, the biggest surprise was getting Jeff Probst to agree to it.”
The Survivor team was fantastic to work with. We filmed on their island and actually used the same crew who normally build the Survivor sets for our project. We also used their camera team, which helped us create a really authentic Survivor feel.
Jeff was fantastic and really connected with everyone. Interestingly, they used the same set as the show Tribal, which made everything feel seamless and authentic.

The YouTuber explained that the team behind Season 2 of Beast Games was the same one used for the show Survivor – including the camera operators and all other production staff. This is why this season feels different from their usual videos.
Honestly, going into this, it felt like they were saying, “Okay, prove you’ve got what it takes.” I mean, Survivor has been around forever – I’m 27, and even I feel like it started before I was born! They clearly know the show inside and out, so the pressure was on to show them something new.
Even seemingly obvious details, such as the way the camera setups are arranged, and how Jeff interacts with the contestants – including the kinds of questions he asks – are important.
I love having people over, so it was really interesting to watch him film. Whenever I wasn’t on camera, I’d observe how he talked to the contestants and the questions he asked. Honestly, the whole experience felt really strange and dreamlike.
I’m so hyped for Beast Games Season 2! It’s hitting Prime Video on January 7, 2026. While we wait, I’ve been rewatching all the crazy eliminations from Season 1 – seriously, MrBeast is building a real-life Hunger Games! And if you’re looking for other new shows to watch, there’s a bunch of stuff coming to streaming this month.
