Xbox is adding three games to its most affordable Game Pass plan, Game Pass Core, giving subscribers more to play.
Beginning October 1st, Game Pass Core subscribers will get access to three new games: Cities: Skylines – Remastered, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, all included with their existing subscription. Cities: Skylines – Remastered is an updated version of the popular 2015 city-building game. It came out in 2023, and players who already owned the game on Xbox One were able to get the remastered version as a free upgrade. Plus, the original Xbox One version is already available as part of the Game Pass Core subscription.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a fun life simulation game where you get to hang out with beloved Disney characters. It’s similar to games like Animal Crossing, letting you build and customize a town, cook, and become friends with the villagers who live there. The developers are still adding new features and content, and the next update will even let you ride horses!
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a fast-paced, cooperative first-person action game where up to four players fight together against hordes of enemies. When it launched in 2022, TopMob praised the game for its well-designed combat, satisfying flow, and effective team-based gameplay.
If you already have a Game Pass Standard or Ultimate subscription, you can play all three of these games right now. Throughout September, those with premium Game Pass plans will also get access to popular titles like Hades, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, though a few games will be removed from the service this month.
