I was so excited to see Netflix finally announced more Lupin! It’s been over two years since the last episodes dropped, and I’ve been eagerly waiting. For those who don’t know, it’s a fantastic French thriller starring Omar Sy as Assane Diop – he’s basically a modern-day Arsène Lupin, using the character’s cleverness to get revenge for his father being wrongly accused of a crime. It’s been getting rave reviews since it first came out in 2021, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear that Netflix officially confirmed Lupin part 4 in 2025! They started filming in May of that year and thankfully wrapped up in September. We don’t know much about the plot yet – they’re keeping everything a secret – but it sounds like it’ll continue the story from part 3 and throw in some fresh, new challenges for Assane. I can’t wait to see what happens!

They did release a cool new poster – it’s a shadowy image of Lupin reflected in a puddle on a French street – but honestly, it doesn’t give us any clues about what’s going to happen in the new episodes. You can see the poster below, though – it’s a nice tease while we wait!

The third part of Lupin left viewers with several shocking twists, hinting at a new direction for the story. The season ended with Assane in jail after a recent robbery, having been betrayed by Jean-Luc Keller, someone from his past. However, it appears Assane won’t be behind bars for long.

Assane is still at odds with the Pellegrini family, as their actions against his father set everything in motion from the beginning of the series. It’s expected that the fourth installment will feature a direct confrontation between Assane and Hubert Pellegrini, potentially influenced by how much time Assane has spent in prison when the story resumes.

Beyond the central plot, season 4 of Lupin revisits several unresolved mysteries from the previous season. These include the fate of Benjamin during his time in prison, the reasons behind Hubert’s decision not to use his influence to escape after being arrested, and the possibility that there’s more to Keller’s blackmailing of Assane than we currently know.

As a huge fan, I’m so relieved to finally know when Lupin is coming back! Part 4 will finally tie up some loose ends after what feels like forever – three years is a long time! Now that Netflix has confirmed it’s returning in Fall 2026, I’m hoping we’ll get more details about the plot pretty soon. I can’t wait to see what Assane is up to next!
