During a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience with John Cena, popular online creator iShowSpeed received a lot of positive attention and compliments.
On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan and John Cena talked at length about iShowSpeed, praising his athleticism, daring personality, and incredibly fast growth on YouTube and social media. The conversation was part of a broader discussion about today’s content creators and how being famous online has opened doors for young performers.
Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe discussed Speed’s Royal Rumble match on a recent podcast appearance, referencing a particularly rough move Speed took – he called it a devastating impact. This led to a conversation between Cena and Rogan about Speed’s history of performing stunts and collaborating with athletes, fighters, and other performers.
Rogan and Cena break down iShowSpeed’s athletic potential
John Cena was impressed with Kai Cenat’s performance during his WWE appearance. He told Joe Rogan that Cenat fully committed to the stunt, making the fall look realistic because he tried to execute it with speed and impact. Rogan agreed, praising Cenat as courageous and willing to try anything.
They watched the popular videos of Speed’s challenges again, including his sparring match with UFC fighter Dan Hooker, his race against fitness influencer Ashton Hall, and his sprint with Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles.
Rogan pointed out that the streamer performed surprisingly well considering he hadn’t trained for sprinting. Cena added that Speed’s combination of athletic ability and personality could even make him successful in professional wrestling.
People also commended his dedication, recognizing that creators like Speed often make content that quickly becomes outdated and face constant pressure to stay popular. John Cena explained that full-time online entertainers essentially work around the clock, and highlighted how easily audiences lose interest and move on to the next thing.
Cena says Speed should “keep doing what he’s doing”
John Cena suggested that Speed could be successful in either professional wrestling or competitive running, but he believes Speed is truly flourishing by constantly seeking out new challenges and opportunities.
Hinchcliffe agreed, noting Speed’s summer streams where he traveled to a different city each day to broadcast various activities live.
Both agreed that the streamer’s full story hasn’t been revealed yet. John Cena pointed out that at just 20 years old, Speed has a bright future and is already achieving a lot.
