New Supergirl Suit Photos Give Best Look Yet at DCU Movie Costume

More images of Supergirl’s costume for the upcoming DCU movie have surfaced online, giving fans a better look at what Kara Zor-El will be wearing.

What does Supergirl’s outfit look like?

DC Studios revealed the new Superman suit at CCXP. It closely resembles the costume worn by David Corenswet in the film Superman, featuring a classic blue texture and the iconic “S” shield.

The updated logo replaces a previous design used while the film was being made. That earlier logo featured a yellow, slanted font on a blue background. This final version better matches the overall look of the Superman movie and draws inspiration from the ‘Kingdom Come’ comic book series.

Check out the new looks at the costume below:

The upcoming movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, is inspired by the comic book series of the same name by Tom King and illustrated by Bilquis Evely. Milly Alcock will star as Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), and the screenplay is by Ana Nogueira. The film is being produced by DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran.

In 2023, director James Gunn explained that the new Supergirl will be quite different from previous versions. He highlighted the contrast between her upbringing and Superman’s: Superman was raised on Earth by caring parents from infancy, while Supergirl spent her first fourteen years on a fragment of Krypton, witnessing constant death and destruction before arriving on Earth as a child. Because of this, Gunn described her as ‘much more hardcore’ than the Supergirl audiences are familiar with.

The upcoming Supergirl movie, titled ‘Woman of Tomorrow,’ is inspired by the comic book series of the same name by Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely. Craig Gillespie is directing the film, which is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2026.
