HoYoverse announced that a major update, Version 3.8 titled “Memories are the Prelude to Dreams,” is coming to Honkai: Star Rail. With the story of Amphoreus wrapping up, the Astral Express will now focus on the world of Penacony before heading to a new location. This update gives Penacony a different feel than before, and players will uncover its secrets with a new playable character, Constance. Expect tough new enemies, special events, and a thrilling adventure filled with challenges and rewards as you explore the galaxy.
Penacony, a dazzling resort world, is a popular destination for travelers from across the galaxy, known for its celebrations and entertainment. During the recent Charmony Festival, the Astral Express crew helped people trapped in pleasant dreams regain control of their lives. But despite the fun, Penacony holds hidden secrets. Following the battle with Amphoreus, Constance, known as ‘The Dahlia,’ makes a surprising appearance, revealing that the Trailblazer’s memories are fragmented and missing crucial pieces. With Constance’s help, the Trailblazer will now embark on a journey to uncover the full and accurate story of Penacony.
In version 3.8, players will experience the story through Firefly’s eyes, learning how she first entered the dreamscape, how she met the Trailblazers, and the challenges she’ll overcome. The update will gradually reveal these details, and also shed light on The Family’s power base and the Dream of Gnawing Oak. Plus, Firefly will reconnect with an old friend who shares a connection to her time as a Glamoth Iron Cavalry Knight.
So, I’m super excited because The Dahlia is joining us as a playable character in Penacony! Even though her dad, Duke Inferno, didn’t get his plans off the ground, she still showed up. Basically, she’s all about the Remembrance – she can create and play with memories, which is kinda her thing. She’s got a complicated past with the Garden of Recollection and Black Swan, and apparently, she’s used to getting stabbed in the back. But don’t worry, she’s going to help us find all the lost memories in Penacony and finish up the whole adventure. It’s not just about helping me either – these memories are really important to her personally too.
Dahlia is a powerful five-star character who follows the Path of Nihility and works best with teammates focused on breaking enemy defenses. She creates a special zone on the battlefield that allows allies to deal massive Super Break damage even before fully breaking an enemy’s weakness. As a skilled dancer, Dahlia also forms a “Dance Partnership” with a teammate. Whenever either partner attacks, they trigger an extra instance of Super Break damage. Furthermore, her Ultimate ability amplifies the effectiveness of Toughness Reduction by applying each Dance Partner’s weakness to all enemies.
The next update will introduce “The Chrysos Awoo Championship,” a new event where players, as special guests, become chimera trainers. You’ll build a strong team of chimeras and compete for the championship! We’re also launching “Remnants of Twilight,” an event full of battles that will test your strategy and quick thinking.
