Sony Pictures is ramping up excitement for the new Anaconda movie with fresh character posters and a playful teaser trailer. These previews give fans a first glimpse of the movie’s style and main characters before it arrives in theaters this holiday season.
New Anaconda movie posters and teaser revealed
Sony Pictures has unveiled new posters and a short preview for the upcoming reboot of ‘Anaconda’. Unlike the original films, this version is a comedic take on the story. The plot follows a group of friends who attempt to remake their beloved childhood film.
I’m so excited for this movie! Paul Rudd and Jack Black are leading the cast as Griff and Doug, and they’re joined by an amazing group including Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. Sony Pictures just released the first posters on X, and they look incredible! Each poster features the actors with a snake around their necks and a really cool, mysterious forest background. The tagline is perfect: “A comedy so big it’ll leave you breathless.” It looks like it’s going to be hilarious!
The studio shared a post saying, “This cast is amazing! #AnacondaMovie – the holiday’s funniest film hits theaters on Boxing Day.” Along with individual character photos, the marketing campaign also features a poster of a pig named “Boris.”
Sony Pictures shared a short video with the cast talking about the movie and showing some new scenes. In the video, actor Jonah Black calls the film “magic.”
The new movie centers on Griff and Doug, two longtime friends experiencing midlife crises who decide to recreate their beloved childhood film. Their ambitious project leads them to the Amazon rainforest with a small film crew, but things take a dangerous turn when an anaconda starts hunting them.
Anaconda is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 25, 2025.
