Suda51’s Ultraviolent Multiversal Bounty Hunting Game Now Has A Release Date, And It’s Soon

The game Romeo Is A Dead Man will be released on February 11, 2026, and cost $50, according to its director and producer, Goichi “Suda51” Suda. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S starting early next year, and the developers are also looking into releasing it on the Switch 2.

Suda explained that if the final version of the game fails quality control up to three times, the release date could be pushed back as much as two weeks. This would mean ‘Romeo Is A Dead Man’ would launch around the same time as ‘Resident Evil Requiem,’ which is scheduled for release on February 27th. Suda mentioned they were hoping to avoid releasing the game alongside such a strong competitor.

Grasshopper Manufacture is not only developing the game, but will also be publishing it themselves for the first time. Regarding a potential release on the next Nintendo Switch, Suda51 mentioned it might come after the game is initially available.

Suda explained to VGC that the game needs to function on PC and all previously confirmed platforms. Because they’re developing ‘Romeo is a Dead Man’ with Unreal Engine 5, they need to ensure compatibility with the upcoming Switch 2, specifically with features like Nanite and Lumen. Some of these technologies are new to the team, and they anticipate potential challenges when porting the game to the Switch 2.

Romeo is a Dead Man is an adventure game where you play as Romeo Stargazer, an FBI agent who specializes in space-time. He travels through different universes to track down criminals and find his missing girlfriend, Juliet.

The game is launching in February, which is already a crowded month for new releases. It will be available just before Yakuza Kiwami 3, and other notable games coming out that month include remastered versions of Tales of Berseria and Dragon Quest 7, along with Mario Tennis Fever and No Sleep for Kaname Date on PlayStation 5.
