The popular animated show Rick and Morty will soon be removed from Netflix in many countries. While viewers in North America can watch the show on Cartoon Network and HBO Max, international fans have often relied on Netflix to stream it. Reports indicate that Rick and Morty will no longer be available on Netflix in several countries after December 2025.
Rick and Morty won’t be streaming on Netflix much longer
According to reports, the popular animated series Rick and Morty, co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, will be removed from Netflix in several countries. It will no longer be available in Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey after December 30th, and will leave the UK on December 31st. However, viewers in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Switzerland will continue to be able to stream the show on Netflix.
Fans in North America can still watch Rick and Morty on HBO Max and Hulu. The show’s eighth season premiered on May 25, 2025, and because it’s been renewed through season 12, season 9 is expected to arrive around Fall 2026. New episodes will continue to air on Cartoon Network, and will quickly become available to stream on HBO Max. This is because both Cartoon Network and HBO Max are owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.
Adult Swim recently announced a spin-off series of “Rick and Morty” centered around President Curtis, the character voiced by Keith David. David revealed the news on Instagram with a post saying, “Citizens of America, this is your President speaking…” He then shared a video explaining that the new animated series, called “President Curtis,” will explore a unique take on the Oval Office and star him in the lead role.
