Leonardo DiCaprio has addressed rumors about his potential involvement in a sequel to the Netflix film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The sequel, currently titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, is reportedly being directed by David Fincher, and DiCaprio has clarified whether or not he’ll be reprising his role.
I was reading an interview with Leonardo DiCaprio in Deadline, and he shared something a little sad – he won’t be reprising his role as Rick Dalton, and there won’t be a continuation of Cliff Booth’s story. He actually explained it all himself, and I wanted to share what he said.
We discussed the possibility of it at the beginning, but I won’t be involved in the Cliff Booth story. I’m really looking forward to seeing it, though, and I think David Fincher is the ideal director. Quentin and I both admire his work, and he’s the best person to continue that style and tell that character’s story. It feels like the natural next step for Cliff Booth, and I’m genuinely excited about it.
