Devolver Digital has some exciting news about the game Ball X Pit! It’s already sold over a million copies, and developer Kenny Sun is creating even more content. Players can look forward to three free updates with brand-new balls to use in the action-roguelite game next year.
Ball X Pit will receive its first major free update, the Regal Update, in January. The Shadow Update is planned for April, and the Naturalist Update will follow in July. According to Devolver Digital, each update will add new balls, character evolutions, and playable characters. A new trailer showcasing these upcoming updates is available below.
By late October, Ball X Pit had sold 400,000 copies – more than doubling its sales in the last six weeks. These sales figures include copies purchased for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the game is also available through Xbox Game Pass, those plays aren’t included in the traditional sales count.
Ball X Pit is a fast-paced game where you use over 60 different balls to take down enemies in levels that automatically scroll. It’s similar to classic brick-breaking games, but with elements inspired by Vampire Survivors and Loop Hero. Between battles, you’ll also be rebuilding a town called New Ballbylon.
