Twitch streamers RelicKris and ManukiEmi were hiking in the Swiss mountains carrying a computer case when they got stuck on a very steep slope.
RelicKris is a Twitch streamer from Stockholm, Sweden, who often broadcasts live while traveling around Europe. On September 15th, he and another streamer, ManukiEmi, began sharing a hike through the mountains of Switzerland.
This wasn’t a typical live stream. The creators added a unique challenge: they carried a Fractal Terra PC case with them during their 12-hour hike to the top of Schilthorn in the Swiss Alps.
The hike to Shilthorn is challenging, as the peak reaches 2,970 meters (9,744 feet) in height. It’s well-known for its unique revolving restaurant, Piz Gloria, and famously featured in the 1969 James Bond film, ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’.

They had planned a route beforehand, but a rockslide had blocked the trail they intended to use. Rather than giving up, they continued their journey, following a detour clearly marked with official signs.
Twitch streamers rescued as hike in Swiss mountains goes wrong
After about nine hours of streaming, the pair found themselves in a tricky spot – on a steep, rocky section of the Shilthorn. They were carefully navigating the loose shale while viewers from all over the world offered advice through the live chat.
Oh my gosh, I was so stressed reading about Emi! They were seriously worried about slipping off the side of a really steep mountain, so they did the right thing and called for help. Luckily, emergency services sent a helicopter to rescue them – what a relief! I’m so glad they’re safe now.
As they were coming down the mountain, RelicKris mentioned they hadn’t seen any notice of the trail being closed on the Schilthorn’s website, and that they’d checked it before starting their climb.
RelicKris explained as they descended the mountain that the day hadn’t initially seemed risky. The usual, safe path had been washed out and completely destroyed, and they hadn’t received any warning – there were no alerts or apps to inform them. As a result, they were forced to find another route, which proved to be somewhat dangerous.
He explained to viewers that he’d called off the mountain climb twice because of safety concerns, stating he wouldn’t risk anyone’s life just to get footage. He called that idea ‘just stupid’.
The streamers were thankfully rescued and are now safe, but this isn’t the first time a live streamer has faced a dangerous situation while broadcasting.
