In Squanch Games’ High on Life 2, humans aren’t the dominant species. This action game is set in a universe where aliens have come to Earth and are using people to make drugs for other aliens. A recent trailer jokingly promotes a new drug called Humanzapro – made from humans – directly to these alien consumers.
The trailer mimics the style of American pharmaceutical commercials. It includes all the familiar elements, like scenes of cheerful aliens enjoying the effects of the drug. Interestingly, the ad specifically warns humans not to use ‘Humanzapro’ due to potential side effects, leading us to believe the drug might be a beneficial item or power-up within the game.
High on Life featured unique, chatty sci-fi weapons, a style that made sense considering the game’s creator, Justin Roiland, was also a co-creator of Rick and Morty and co-founder of Squanch Games – and he originally voiced one of the talking weapons. However, following accusations brought against him, Roiland was removed from both Squanch Games and Rick and Morty.
The new game adds skateboarding, allowing players to ride into combat and use it as part of their attacks. They can also just perform tricks on their boards.
I’m so excited! I just found out that High on Life 2 is coming out on February 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Even better, it’s going to be available on Game Pass Ultimate for PC and Xbox right away! And get this – they’re also making a High on Life animated series, which sounds amazing. Can’t wait!
