A well-known car reviewer on YouTube, who recently won a lawsuit against the platform after his channel was taken down, is continuing to work towards getting it restored.
All YouTubers want to avoid having their channels penalized or shut down. Recently, though, many creators feel they’ve received unfair strikes from YouTube’s automated review system.
Oleksandr, a car enthusiast and popular YouTuber known as Chase Car, had his channel removed in November 2024, several months after YouTube stopped allowing him to earn money from it. He successfully appealed YouTube’s decision and was able to restore monetization to his channel.
When November arrived, YouTube stated the account was terminated due to violations of their policies against spam, misleading content, and scams. He challenged this decision in court in March 2025, and an independent review confirmed the termination was unjustified.
YouTuber still banned despite winning legal case
A legal ruling confirmed YouTube was incorrect in its actions against the content creator. Despite defending its decision, YouTube couldn’t point to any specific rule the creator had broken, resulting in a win for the creator. However, shockingly, their channel remains suspended, even after the favorable ruling. The creator shared this update on X, formerly known as Twitter.
I’ve been trying to reach YouTube’s legal team by email for four months, but I only receive automated responses and haven’t received any real reply. It’s concerning that this is happening even after I successfully resolved a previous issue – it makes me worry about what other creators might experience.
I’m still pursuing this issue and have filed a formal complaint with the Irish data protection authority to compel YouTube to comply with the ruling.

Oleksandr has been supporting other creators whose channels were recently shut down, offering them guidance and advice.
In mid-November, YouTube addressed concerns from channels that had content removed in a recent sweep. They claimed their moderation systems were working correctly and that the channels were penalized for posting content considered to be low quality.
