PS Plus free monthly games for December 2025 include a fast-paced indie FPS and a gorgeous LEGO game

PlayStation just announced the five free games PS Plus members can download in December! If you haven’t already, now’s your last chance to get November’s free games – Stray, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, and EA Sports WRC 24 will no longer be available after December 1st. The new selection of five games will be ready to claim starting December 2nd, and the good news is all PS Plus members can get them, no matter which subscription tier you have – you don’t need access to the game catalog.

PS Plus free monthly games for December revealed

Starting December 2nd, PlayStation Plus members can get five free games: a popular indie title, a beautiful LEGO game, a tough horror game, an action-packed extraction shooter, and a scary co-op first-person shooter. You can claim these games starting next week, but only until January 5th, so be sure to add them to your library soon, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

LEGO Horizon Adventures

This year, PlayStation and Guerrilla Games unexpectedly announced LEGO Horizon Adventures, a LEGO version of the first Horizon: Zero Dawn game, and it’s available now on both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Starting next week, you can play this fun, cooperative action-adventure game for free!

LEGO Horizon Adventures offers a lighter, more playful version of the popular PlayStation series, making it a fantastic way for newcomers to experience the story. It’s also a fun game to play with a friend, supporting up to two players. Everything in the game – characters, robots, and the world around them – is built from LEGOs, creating a visually appealing experience that you might have missed last year, making next month a great time to give it a try.

Killing Floor 3

If you’re looking for a fun game to play with friends, check out this cooperative first-person shooter series. The newest installment, Killing Floor 3, lets you play with people on any platform – consoles and PCs – so you can easily team up with friends no matter what they’re playing on.

Team up with up to six players to fight off hordes of creatures created by a powerful, evil company. You’ll play as members of Nightfall, a rebel group dedicated to destroying these terrifying waves of enemies. Customize your gear and work together to survive and win!

The Outlast Trials

If you enjoy scary games but prefer something other than fast-paced shooting, keep an eye out for The Outlast Trials, coming to PS Plus this December. It’s a cooperative game where up to three players can team up, and focuses heavily on stealth rather than direct combat.

This is a scary survival game where you’re kidnapped by the Murkoff Corporation. The only way to escape is to complete a series of dangerous tests. Instead of fighting, you’ll mostly need to sneak around enemies. You can find items to help you stay hidden, and the corporation might occasionally give you chances to run or temporarily slow down your pursuers. Can you and your friends make it out alive?

Synduality Echo of Ada

With the recent buzz around ARC Raiders, more people are noticing the growing genre of “extraction shooters.” You might have overlooked Synduality Echo of Ada when it came out earlier this year if you’re new to these types of games. Luckily, December is a great time to check it out – it’s a sci-fi game where you pilot mechs, fight both other players and AI enemies, and try to extract valuable resources.

I’m really excited about Synduality Echo of Ada! It’s set in the future, way back in 2222, and things are pretty rough. A strange, poisonous rain has almost destroyed all of humanity, so everyone’s living underground. But to survive, you play as a Drifter, piloting a powerful mech to brave the dangerous surface world and gather resources. It sounds intense – you have to watch out for all sorts of enemies and even other players while you’re out there!

Neon White

Neon White has been incredibly well-received on Steam, with 98% of over 11,000 players giving it positive reviews. Once you play, it’s clear why. The game stands out thanks to its distinctive art, memorable characters, and thrilling, quick gameplay – making it one of the best indie games of the last ten years.

Neon White is a fast-paced, first-person shooter where you play as someone sent to Heaven to exterminate demons. The game has a cool twist: you collect cards that let you attack, but you can also throw them away to move quickly and perform amazing feats. A big part of the game is figuring out the best path and combining cards to create powerful combos and find shortcuts. It’s a critically acclaimed indie title known for its speedrunning focus.
