Did Mary’s church service bring our divided group closer? Probably not, but it’s nice to hope! Perhaps they’ll have more success at the Sunday social Mary is hosting afterwards at Valter’s, our usual spot. Just as Meredith and Lisa arrive, Angie tells Mary, “Your guests are here,” suggesting things might not go as planned. At least Mary is giving everyone beta fish as party favors!
The only person not at lunch was Britani. Mary had previously called her to explain that she was upset because Britani had called her names. Britani eventually apologized, which gave Mary some hope that they could all work things out.
Okay, so the women are trying to figure out what really happened on the flight. Meredith claims the others are exaggerating, but they’re skeptical. She says she couldn’t have bothered Britani the whole time because she was watching movies – specifically, Crazy Rich Asians and one she can’t remember. When asked about the ending of Crazy Rich Asians, though, she draws a blank. Heather points out that it’s a memorable scene, and suggests Meredith should probably have a lawyer present. It’s a pretty funny moment! Lisa, who also saw the movie, quickly recalls the ending (with a spoiler warning). Meredith then tries to backtrack, claiming she fell asleep before that part, but it doesn’t quite convince anyone.
Lisa keeps minimizing what happened, so the others point out she must have known it was a big deal, which is why she avoided going through customs with them. Lisa insists she simply forgot she had Global Entry. Honestly, if we’re trying to figure out if Lisa Barlow actually has Global Entry to solve this, we’ve probably gone down a rabbit hole.
Meredith, predictably, confronted Whitney after learning she’d been talking about the situation behind her back. Whitney had told Bronwyn that Meredith had been drinking before the flight and even speculated whether Meredith had lost consciousness. She suggested three possible reasons for Meredith’s behavior: holding a grudge, having an anger issue, or mixing alcohol with something else. Whitney’s attempt to solve the mystery felt like a reality TV version of detective Hercule Poirot.
The lunch doesn’t really resolve anything, and Meredith is left feeling isolated, with only Lisa as an ally. We see them getting manicures, and the spa chairs always seem to be getting larger! They talk about the lunch, and Meredith vents about Heather and Whitney. Then Lisa reveals she met with Britani to get her perspective. We then see a flashback of that conversation, where Britani dramatically claims the incident was “literally, like, the sixth worst thing that has ever happened to me.” That specific statement really struck me – I immediately wondered what the other five were! Ultimately, Meredith decides she feels sorry for Britani and is ready to move on.
Suddenly, the scene shifts to Whitney driving a U-Haul to Heather’s house. There, she finds her cousin getting ready to dispose of a very old mattress – she jokingly refers to it as the funeral for her marriage. Whitney helps her haul it away, and while she claims the stains aren’t from anything scandalous, the fact that the mattress is twenty years old is what really bothers me. They then discuss a falling out with Meredith and Whitney’s anger towards Bronwyn for gossiping, but honestly, I’m still stuck on that ancient mattress.
Britani is still recovering from the stress of her flight, but she feels it helped her realize what matters most: fixing things with her daughter, Olivia. They’ve started therapy, and are really putting in the work to improve their relationship. While it covers familiar ground, Olivia appreciates hearing her mom take responsibility, and Britani is glad to be working towards a better future with her daughter, so things are looking positive.
Bronwyn, Gwen, and Muzzy – along with their stylish haircuts – spend the afternoon working on Bonsai trees. Gwen and Muzzy are both planning to move out and become more independent, which deeply upsets Bronwyn, who has always lived with family. While she still has her husband, Todd, that might be part of the issue. With her family potentially leaving the house, Bronwyn is forced to confront some difficult truths about her marriage, and she’s worried about what she’ll find. The fact that she’s so upset about even her difficult mother moving out suggests things between her and Todd aren’t good.
Honestly, the way this episode ended left me completely stunned – I almost thought I’d imagined it! Seeing Meredith and Britani finally meet again was…intense. They met at a park, which felt weirdly safe, like the show didn’t want any property damage. Meredith actually apologized for being overheard talking about Britani on the plane, saying it wasn’t the right time or place and she didn’t mean to upset her. It all felt a little too perfect, like someone from Bravo’s HR department was right there, feeding them lines.
Despite still being hurt by what happened, Britani is choosing to forgive. She also apologizes for initially bringing the TikTok to everyone’s attention, acknowledging it was a deliberate attempt to cause pain. It’s amazing to see, after all the drama, that they can now calmly talk things through. This ability to overcome conflict and move forward is a big reason why the show resonates with viewers. Watching them communicate reminds me of a song Britani Bateman originally shared on TikTok.
I’m sorry for anything I’ve done to hurt you, but it seems like we both share some responsibility. Honestly, none of it feels important now.
