What time is It: Welcome to Derry Episode 6 out?

Fans of Derry, be warned: Pennywise is back! Bill Skarsgård is reprising his role as the terrifying clown, and that makes the upcoming sixth episode of It: Welcome to Derry seem even further away. Be careful – spoilers follow!

Okay, so the latest episode was seriously clever! Andy Muschietti really showed us Pennywise can still surprise you, even after all this time. The kids decided to go after him in the Derry sewers, which was super tense. But here’s the really cool part: they came up with this plan to basically rob Pennywise of his power! Lily swiped her mom’s anti-anxiety pills – she called them ‘mommy’s little helpers’ – hoping that if they weren’t scared, Pennywise wouldn’t be able to… well, do his thing. It was a really interesting idea to see if they could starve him of fear!

However, the soldiers who are attacked by Pennywise in the creepy Neibolt house aren’t so lucky. And it turns out Matty (Miles Eckhardt) was actually Pennywise all along, and had been dead the entire time…

At least Lily found a piece of the Shokopiwah meteorite, and we saw it actually work – Pennywise completely stopped when she held it up in the sewer. Hopefully, that will protect the kids until this current threat is over. Now, I’m wondering when the next episode of ‘It: Welcome to Derry’ will be released.

Given that the military isn’t involved in the events of the IT movies, their strategy to contain Pennywise won’t succeed.

How many episodes are there in It: Welcome to Derry Season 1?

So, Season 1 of ‘Welcome to Derry’ has eight episodes, and even though HBO hasn’t said anything official about a second season yet, the director, Muschietti, has already shared that he envisions the show lasting for three seasons! As a fan, that’s really exciting to hear!

The show’s second season will be set in 1935. According to Deadline, the ending of Season 1 subtly suggests the reason for telling the story over the next two seasons in reverse chronological order.

Viewers are aware the first season is leading up to the destruction of the military bar, The Black Spot, in a fire. However, the second season will be a prequel, going back to 1935 to explore the Bradley Gang massacre – a horrific event where the people of Derry violently killed the gang members in the streets after years of harassment.
