Magician “forgot the password” to his own hand after locking himself out of implanted RFID chip

Magician Zi Teng Wang shared on Facebook that he surprisingly locked himself out of the RFID chip implanted in his hand – he simply forgot the password needed to access it.

Wang said he first got the chip for magic tricks, but realized scanning people’s phones with it wasn’t very impressive. He explained that it didn’t seem mysterious, and most phones don’t even have the necessary technology turned on to be scanned.

When he started using his own phone, the unusual display became pointless, and the trick lost its value.

Wang says the only fix is brute forcing every password

Wang explained that he modified the chip multiple times. Initially, it contained a Bitcoin address, which he noted wasn’t mentioned by anyone. He later altered it to display a link to a meme found on Imgur.

The link stopped working, and when he tried to reprogram the chip, he discovered he’d forgotten the password he’d created a long time ago.

So, I heard from Wang that some of his tech-savvy friends checked out the chip, and they basically said it was so basic, it wasn’t even worth trying to hack. They told him it was just too simple!

So, apparently getting back into the chip is a huge hassle. The guy who helped me said I’d basically have to wear an RFID reader for days, even weeks, and just try every possible code. Luckily, the old link to learn about it is working again, but the chip itself is still locked down. That means I’m stuck with this implant, and I can’t change anything about it, which is really frustrating!

Okay, so this whole thing was super annoying, but honestly, it was also pretty funny. It got to the point where I genuinely forgot the password to my own account – it felt like I forgot the password to my own hand, which is just wild!
