Okay, so Square Enix just dropped some awesome news for Final Fantasy IX fans! They’re releasing an arrangement album called ‘Midnight Jazz’ to celebrate the game’s 25th anniversary. I’m super excited to hear a jazzy take on the soundtrack – it’s going to be amazing!

To celebrate the game’s anniversary, special merchandise like vinyl records is available. The anniversary album will be released in Japan in February 2026, and in North America and Europe in March 2026. Pre-orders are available now for $39.99.

You can find the cover art and more details via the official album website from Square Enix below:

To mark the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX, a unique jazz arrangement series has been created, offering a fresh take on the game’s beloved music.

Yuma Yamaguchi, a highly respected composer known for his film work and arrangements for popular musicians, is leading the musical direction and revitalizing the iconic soundtrack of Final Fantasy IX.

World-class musicians unite to redefine what game music JAZZ can be.

These musical arrangements cover a range of styles, including piano solos, big band performances, and smaller combo groups. Some tracks also include beautiful wordless vocal melodies.

This CD delivers a music experience that makes every moment feel a step above.
