Arc Raiders maps include interesting puzzles that reward you with good loot when solved. For example, at the Ancient Fort location on the Blue Gate map, you might find a cellar door and several electrical boxes. While the puzzle itself is fairly simple, the batteries needed to solve it are hidden in random spots. We’ll show you exactly where to find them!

Solving the puzzle unlocks a room full of treasure. While you won’t always find amazing items there, it’s definitely worth a look if you’re nearby. Here’s a guide on how to solve the Ancient Fort puzzle and open the cellar door.

How to open the cellar door at the Ancient Fort

When you explore the Ancient Fort, keep an eye out for a cellar door on the exterior wall. It’s probably closed, but pay attention to the three lights above it – they’ll tell you how to open it. You’ll need to find and activate some electrical boxes to get it working.

There are three electrical boxes visible around the fort. The challenge isn’t finding them, but figuring out how to turn them on.

  • The first electrical box is located on the southern outside wall.
  • The second electrical box is located upstairs inside the tower of the fort.
  • The third electrical box is located upstairs against a wall on the second floor.

Every electrical box needs a battery to work. Once you’ve powered up all three boxes, the cellar door will open. Finding the batteries, though, might take some searching. They appear in random places inside and around the Ancient Fort, so their locations will be different each time you play.

The map highlights the areas where both we and the Arc Raiders community have found the most batteries.

You’ll usually find the batteries near the small buildings around the edge of the fort. We often find one right at the top, like in the picture. If you’re having trouble finding the last battery, be sure to check up there!

Once you’ve placed three batteries back in their boxes, you’ll hear a clear sound indicating the cellar door has unlocked. Go back and climb down the ladder to discover a room filled with treasure – but be careful, other raiders might try to take what you’ve earned! Stay alert.
