Who won Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2? One player bags $4.56 million

After a competition filled with challenges, both physical and emotional, the winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 has been crowned, taking home the grand prize of $4.56 million.

This new Netflix competition show is inspired by Squid Game. Like the original, 456 players compete in challenges based on children’s games, but with a much lighter consequence for losing. Instead of elimination meaning death, players are simply marked with ink and sent home.

Season 2 has been full of excitement, just like the first! It started with a challenge that immediately eliminated half of the contestants – a simple counting game. We’ve seen both brand new tests and some familiar favorites, and things have gotten pretty heated – the ‘Mingle’ challenge even led to a revolt!

After all the competition, it all comes down to this: one winner will be announced. We all had our guesses, but the outcome remained a mystery… until now! Be careful, though – spoilers follow!

Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 winner

Perla Figuereo, known as Player 72, won Season 2 of Squid Game: The Challenge and the grand prize of $4.56 million. She’s the second person to win the Netflix competition, after Mai Whelan won the first season.

Perla was one of five finalists – along with Dajah (Player 302), Steven (Player 183), Trinity (Player 398), and Agnes (Player 17). But not all of them would make it through to the very end.

The dinner party included another challenge, and Trinity was unfortunately eliminated. This left four players who moved on to the final round, which brought the competition back to the very first game they played: Red Light, Green Light.

Agnes was the first one detected by the doll’s sensor. Steven briefly seemed like he’d go first, but he moved at the wrong moment and ended up going second.

In a heartbreaking turn of events on Squid Game: The Challenge, close friends Perla and Dajah found themselves competing directly against each other. The situation became even worse when Dajah hurt her ankle as the doll turned around during the game. She bravely tried to remain frozen despite the pain, but ultimately couldn’t withstand it and fell to the ground.

“I think I injured myself—I felt something pop,” she explained, clearly upset. “This is going to bother me for a long time. I’ll always wonder if I could have won, and it’s really crushing.”

Because of the final challenge, Dajah was eliminated, and Perla remained. When the doll turned around, Perla crossed the finish line and won Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2.

Similar to the character Seong Gi-hun, Perla receives a gold card that unlocks a bank account containing $4.56 million. In the show’s finale, she expresses relief, saying she can finally provide for her family and experience the peace of mind that comes with financial security – something she’s never known before.

Honestly, I’m just over the moon right now! It was so amazing to finally reunite with my family, especially seeing my brother again – and even my fellow competitor, Jeffrey, or Player 283 as we all know him!
