Jenny Slatten, known from 90 Day Fiancé, recently revealed she has been diagnosed with ALS in an interview with People magazine. Her symptoms started with migraines, trouble swallowing, and slurred speech. It wasn’t until a fan suggested it, but she and her husband, Sumit Singh, began to suspect ALS. Singh explained that the symptoms matched what they were seeing. Remembering that Slatten’s father also died from ALS about ten years ago, the couple were understandably upset when she received her diagnosis, and they comforted each other. They are now exploring genetic testing to see if they can slow the disease’s progress. Slatten wants to continue living life normally, stating, “I don’t want to be treated any different. Let’s just live our life as we have been while we can.”
The news about her diagnosis came just before the new season of 90 Day: The Last Resort was set to air. The show follows couples as they attend a group therapy retreat, hoping to repair their relationships. Fortunately, it appears she and Singh came out of the retreat with a stronger connection. Slatten shared, “We’re happy that we’re together.”
