The newest set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, called Chaos Rising, is now available! It includes exciting new cards for players to battle with, collect, or both. As part of the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution series, Chaos Rising features stunning artwork on its Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards, and introduces powerful new Pokémon ex cards for competitive play.
The early leak of nearly all the cards from Chaos Rising definitely took some of the excitement away. Still, players and collectors were clearly enthusiastic when the set finally came out on May 22, 2026.
These cards have just been released, so their prices are still fluctuating quite a bit as people buy and sell them online. Despite this volatility, these cards are already proving to be very popular and are highly sought after. You can find a link to each card on TCGPlayer to check the latest prices.
Special Red Card (113/086)
Ultra Rare
Okay, so this Ultra Rare card from the Pokémon TCG: Chaos Rising set is seriously cool! Even though it doesn’t have the flashiest artwork, it’s one of the hardest cards to pull. It’s card 113/086, called the Special Red Card, and it’s an Item card that can really mess with your opponent. Basically, it can make them shuffle their hand into their deck, draw three new cards, and totally change their strategy. It’s a great card to have!
The full-art version of this Item card is selling for an average of $25.06 on TCGPlayer, and recent sales have been around that price. This is notable because the regular, less rare version of the Special Red Card has very similar artwork but costs only about $0.75.
Froakie (088/086)
Illustration Rare
I really love Froakie, one of the cute Water-type Pokémon, and it’s showcased on card 088/086 as an Illustration Rare. The card is full of lovely blues and greens, fitting with the Water theme. Froakie looks a little concerned, gazing upwards at something outside of the picture.
As of today, this card is selling for around $26.26 on average at TCGPlayer, which is down from a recent high of $54.98. It will be interesting to watch how the price changes as more people open packs and potentially put more of these cards up for sale.
Mega Greninja ex (100/086)
Ultra Rare
Mega Greninja ex is a prominent card, appearing frequently in lists and serving as the main focus for the Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box and the set’s promotional art. This particular card is the Ultra Rare version – card number 100/086 – and features striking artwork of Mega Greninja ex with a golden border, alongside a shadowy depiction of the Pokémon.
The card is currently averaging around $33.15 on TCGPlayer, but it recently sold for $25.99. This suggests the price might be decreasing, though it could potentially rise again soon.
Roxie’s Performance (121/086)
Special Illustration Rare
Full-art Trainer cards are usually popular with collectors, and this one is too. This is the Special Illustration Rare version of Roxie’s Performance, and the artwork really captures a sense of energy and motion – you can almost hear the music!
The card “Roxie’s Performance” (number 121/086) has maintained a stable price recently, with only minor changes in sales. Currently, it’s selling for around $55.88 on TCGPlayer.
Mega Floette ex (117/086)
Special Illustration Rare
The Pokémon Trading Card Game: Chaos Rising set introduced the stunning Mega Floette ex card (117/086) early on. The artwork depicts Mega Floette looking down from above, bathed in colorful light. It’s a beautiful example of how Special Illustration Rare cards can create a unique and powerful feeling through their imagery.
Right now, a Mega Floette card is selling for around $75 on TCGPlayer. However, that price is based on just one sale, so it could go up or down.
AZ’s Tranquility (120/086)
Special Illustration Rare
Although I don’t particularly like the character AZ from the Pokémon games, the artwork on this card is stunning. The Special Illustration Rare card, 120/086, featuring AZ’s Tranquility, is a standout piece and some of the best art from this Pokémon TCG set.
This card is highly desirable thanks to its beautiful artwork and the popularity of the trainer AZ. It’s especially exciting to open it in a pack! Currently, it’s selling for around $84.37 on average, according to TCGPlayer.
Mega Dragalge ex (118/086)
Special Illustration Rare
The special artwork for the Mega Dragalge ex card is incredibly striking, using swirling colors and movement to create a psychedelic effect. Mega Dragalge ex almost disappears into the vibrant design! It’s amazing to think this powerful Pokémon started as the much simpler Skrelp.
The Pokémon card, Mega Dragalge ex (card number 118/086), is currently selling for around $105 on TCGPlayer. It recently reached a peak price of $120.
Cinccino ex (119/086)
Special Illustration Rare
Next up is Cinccino ex, beautifully illustrated in a cozy scene that makes you want to join in the fun! It’s pictured bouncing happily on a huge pile of pillows and blankets, which is sure to brighten your day – unless your opponent is using it against you. The card itself works similarly to this playful image, potentially letting you avoid damage with a simple coin flip.
As of today, a recent check on TCGPlayer shows that the Cinccino ex card (number 119/086) is selling for around $109.16 on average.
Mega Greninja ex (122/086)
Mega Hyper Rare
Mega Greninja ex cards currently hold the top two spots on this list, and they’re constantly switching places in terms of value. Because there haven’t been enough sales yet, it’s hard to say exactly how much each one is worth, but based on recent auctions and sales, they’re neck and neck for the highest price.
The golden, highly collectible Mega Hyper Rare version of Mega Greninja ex (card number 122/086) is listed for $485 on TCGPlayer. It recently sold for $399.99.
Mega Greninja ex (116/086)
Special Illustration Rare
As mentioned before, both of these Mega Greninja ex cards are vying for the title of the most valuable card in the set, but right now, the Special Illustration Rare (card 116/086) is the more sought-after card for collectors. As of today, TCGPlayer doesn’t have enough sales data to calculate an average price, but the last recorded sale was $505.99, and it’s currently listed for $470.99.
Whether this card or that one turns out to be more valuable, both would be fantastic additions to any collection of Pokémon Trading Card Game cards from the Chaos Rising set.
