IO Interactive has kicked off a new video series called Beyond the Light, offering a closer look at their upcoming game, 007: First Light. The first video, which is over 16 minutes long, showcases new gameplay footage and features the developers discussing things like combat, stealth, gadgets, and how the levels are designed.
In the upcoming game, 007: First Light, players will have multiple ways to complete missions. You can choose to engage enemies directly in combat or focus on stealth. A unique stealth feature is the ‘bluff’ mechanic, which lets Bond attempt to talk his way out of being discovered and calm enemy suspicions. While it won’t always succeed, it often provides a second chance to continue the mission without raising an alarm or resorting to force, saving you from having to restart.
The developers also talked about including interesting gadgets and objects within the game’s environments that players can interact with. Levels are being designed to immediately highlight important choices and dangers – especially enemy patrol patterns. And yes, there will be exciting car chases, naturally featuring an Aston Martin.
The game 007: First Light will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 starting March 27.
