Exciting news about the cast for Dutton Ranch, the new series, has just been announced. This casting choice also fits with a pattern seen in Taylor Sheridan’s other shows.
Country singer Morgan Wade is joining the cast of the show Dutton Ranch. She’ll play Carol, a bartender in Rio Paloma, Texas, who observes everything that happens around town. Wade isn’t the first musician to appear in Taylor Sheridan’s shows – Zach Bryan, Isaac Hoskins, and Shane Smith & The Saints have all been featured previously. Other artists like Ryan Bingham and Lainey Wilson appeared in Yellowstone, and Tim McGraw starred in the earlier series 1883.
Morgan Wade Joins the Cast of Dutton Ranch
Country artist Wade burst onto the music scene in 2021 with her first album, Reckless. She’s since released Psychopath, Obsessed, and The Party Is Over (Recovered). Beyond music, Wade is making her acting debut in Dutton Ranch and will also appear in the upcoming film Daisy, where she plays a bull rider.
The new series, focusing on the world of Yellowstone, will center around Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly). Following a move to Texas, Beth and her family will encounter a powerful and unforgiving rival rancher. Finn Little will reprise his role as Carter, Beth and Rip’s son. The show also stars Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Beth and Rip Face New Challenges
The new series, Dutton Ranch, follows Beth and Rip as they try to create a life away from the drama of Yellowstone. However, they quickly face harsh new challenges and a powerful, unforgiving ranch that will do anything to maintain control. Set in South Texas, the show explores a world where old wounds run deep, mercy is rare, and simply staying alive could mean losing everything you believe in.
This show is one of several new series expanding the world of Yellowstone. It centers on Marshals, following Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) as he works with U.S. Marshals to keep Montana safe. The series quickly became popular and has been picked up for another season. Marshals joins other Yellowstone related shows like 1883 and 1923. Another series from the creator, originally intended as a Yellowstone spinoff, was later changed to take place in a completely different setting.
The new series, Dutton Ranch, will debut on Paramount+ before airing on Paramount Network. The first two episodes will be available immediately upon release, and then new episodes will come out weekly. The first season will have a total of nine episodes.
