On April 30th, Kuro Games will launch update 3.3 for their free-to-play action RPG, Wuthering Waves. The update, called “Reverbs From the End of Galaxies,” will be available to all players, the developer announced.
Here is an overview of the update, via PlayStation Blog:
Version 3.3 Overview
The story is building to a final, epic battle where Rover will pilot the Exostrider into the dangerous Voidspace to find Aemeath. Along with this main quest, two powerful new characters, Hiyuki and Denia, will appear. Their individual stories and the decisions they make will play a crucial role in how this crisis is resolved.
Let’s take a closer look at Version 3.3, covering the newest story updates, details on the new character Convene, our anniversary events, and improvements to the game’s systems.
New Main Story
The fog over Rahai-Roi remains, and as the Exostrider plan moves forward, secrets from the past are starting to be revealed.
I’m so excited for Version 3.3! On April 30th, two new parts of the main story are dropping: “Segue Wishes in the Bell” and “Starlights from Yesterdays.” From what I’ve heard, “Wishes in the Bell” is going to be really intense – it sounds like things are really heating up between Hiyuki and the Fractsidus, and she’s going to have to make a huge decision that will change everything for her.
In Starlights from Yesterdays, Rover will fly the Exostrider through the Stridergate and into the distant reaches of the galaxy, beginning a vital quest to locate Aemeath. Along the way, they’ll expose a plot orchestrated by the Fractsidus and Aleph-1.
On May 21st, the next chapter of the Main Quest, titled “Segue Beneath a Melting Night Sky,” will be released. As the story progresses, you’ll learn more about the enigmatic Denia and discover if the Fractsidus are hiding even bigger schemes.
I’m so excited! Once I finish the Starlights from Yesterdays quest in Version 3.3, my Rover will get a cool new look – the Frequency Cassette Recorder! It sounds like it’ll open up a whole new way to explore, which I can’t wait to try out.
New Resonator: Hiyuki

Okay, so in the 3.3 update, we’re finally getting Hiyuki, a new 5-star character! She’s a bit of a mystery, showing up in Lahai-Roi out of nowhere. Her powers come from this thing called the Suzu, but it’s a pretty big trade-off – she’s basically giving up her own future to get stronger and fight against the Threnodians. Sounds intense, right?
Hiyuki has spent years sacrificing her own future to fulfill the wishes of others and safeguard her people. Despite the seemingly never-ending war against the Threnodians, she continues to carry this heavy burden by herself, growing stronger and more determined with each passing moment on her lonely path.
Hiyuki is a powerful 5-Star character who uses ice abilities and fights with a sword. She’s skilled at applying a debuff called Glacio Chafe and can change her attack style by creating different ice weapons during battle.
Okay, so when I finally unlock Hiyuki’s Resonance Liberation and get the power of the Suzu flowing, things get crazy! She goes into this mode called Futures’ Tithe, and it seriously amps up her fighting skills. The whole battlefield gets covered in ice, and she just starts unleashing a blizzard of attacks with these ice blades. Every hit fills up her Forte Gauge, and she can even summon these massive ice trees that spike enemies before she finishes them off with a killer final blow. It’s super effective and looks awesome!
Hiyuki can enter a powerful fighting mode by skillfully dodging attacks, creating a flurry of snow and petals around her. If she meets certain requirements, she can then activate an even stronger ability called Enhanced Resonance Liberation, fully unleashing the Suzu’s power to defeat her opponents.
New Resonator: Denia

Denia is a central character in Version 3.3’s story, and she has a dual personality. She often comes across as kind and friendly, but sometimes reveals a more unpredictable nature when she’s not in the public eye.
Okay, so Denia’s a super powerful 5-Star character – a Fusion Resonator. She fights with this staff that can either go into a Fusion Burst mode for big damage, or a Tune Strain mode, which I’m still figuring out! Basically, she attacks with these cool, bubbly projectiles, and also summons these awesome claw things using her Forte. What’s really neat is that how I play her changes depending on the situation – sometimes she’s more about careful planning, but she can definitely get aggressive when needed.
Denia’s Resonance Skill creates a powerful, exploding bubble of energy. When she activates her Resonance Liberation, she transforms into Breakdown Form, which greatly speeds up her attacks and overall combat speed.
Okay, so when I’m playing as Denia, I charge up this thing called the Forte Gauge by just attacking. Once it’s full, I can do this awesome special move – basically, a giant sphere drops from the sky, dealing tons of damage, and also pulls enemies in close. It’s super effective for crowd control and really satisfying to pull off!
Second Anniversary Events and Rewards
Okay, so Wuthering Waves is hitting its second anniversary with Update 3.3, and it’s awesome! There’s a new event called Star Bouncing where we get to play as pinball versions of our Rovers, teaming up with Resonators who have cool new Persona forms. The rewards look really good too – we can snag Astrites, an exclusive title, an Echo, and a bunch of other goodies. I’m definitely jumping in!
The next Solaris Collab Season is coming soon, and it will feature rewards like 10 Forging Tides, 10 Lustrous Tides, a special Second Anniversary Sigil, a motorbike design, and a new outfit accessory.
With the update released on April 30th, players can log in and receive 20 Radiant Tides, 10 Crystal Solvents, and a special Second Anniversary Avatar. More login rewards will be given out on May 23, 2026.
I’m so excited – Wuthering Waves is finally here! I can already play it on my PlayStation 5, or on PC if I download the client, through Steam, or the Epic Games Store. If I’m on mobile, it’s available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. And the best news? It’s coming to Xbox Series and the Microsoft Store on PC in July! I can’t wait to play it on all my devices.
