Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Update Celebrates 1st Anniversary

Kuro Games has unveiled the upcoming update for the game “Wuthering Waves”. On April 29, 2025 (UTC+8), the new version 2.3, named “Fiery Arpeggio of Summer Reunion”, will be available for download on Android, iOS, PC through Windows and Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. Simultaneously, the Steam version of the game will also be launched on that day.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Resonators

In Version 2.3, we’ll introduce two brand new 5-Star Resonators: one is Zani, an employee of the Averardo Bank in Ragunna, part of the Montelli Family, who you encounter upon arrival in Rinascita. She is a Spectro Resonator, wielding gauntlet weapons and a massive shield in battle. When she activates her Resonance Liberation, Zani shifts her stance, launching a powerful assault against all enemies.

The upcoming 5-Star character is known as Ciaccona. Originating from a household that valued both poetry and music, Ciaccona possesses the ability to skillfully play multiple instruments, viewing each one as a vessel for its unique tale. She belongs to the Aero resonator class, utilizing firearm-style weapons in combat. Her Resonance Ability allows her to conjure sigils that bolster allies during battle, earning her the title of a potent support character.

In the initial phase of Version 2.3, you’ll find Zani is present, whereas Ciaccona will join us for the second part of the update.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Improvements

  • New Feature – Echo Aspect: You can now change the appearance of the Rover’s Glide/Flight apparatus.
  • Data Modification: A new item called the Modifier has been added to the game. The Modifier can be obtained through various methods such as the Pioneer Podcast and events, and allows players to adjust the main stat of a unenhanced 5-star Echo.
  • Ray Tracing and 120 FPS Support Expansion: Ray tracing support will be expanded for PC users that are running certain AMD and Intel graphics cards. The option to change the game’s framerate to 120 will also be available to more configurations.
  • No Cooldown for Boss Fights: Upon completing a Boss or Nightmare Challenge, you have the option to immediately restart the fight, without worrying about cooldown timers.
  • New Glossary Feature: Important in-game terminology will now be highlighted in dialogue. Clicking on this highlight will bring up the definition of the word.

Wuthering Waves 1st Anniversary Celebration

To mark the one year milestone of Wuthering Waves, the game’s creator is offering numerous login rewards to every player. Once you log back into the game following maintenance, you’ll receive 10 Radiant Tales and a unique avatar as gifts. In honor of launching two fresh resonators, there will be two distinct login events happening at different times.

To add on, there’ll be an exclusive type of banner displayed alongside Zani and Ciaccona’s banners. This unique “Reprint Banner” enables players to select from a variety of previously launched Resonators, allowing them to acquire them again. The initial phase of this banner offers the option to pick among Jiyan, Yinli, Zhezhi, Xiangli Yao, and Phoebe, while the second phase provides a choice from Jinhsi, Changli, Carlotta, Roccia, and Brant. Players can also customize their weapon banner to showcase these characters’ signature weapons based on their preferences.

On May 22, 2024, the game titled “Wuthering Waves” was released for Android, iOS, PC (through Windows and Epic Games Store), and PlayStation 5, with early availability on PS5 in January 2025. As of now, more than 30 million gamers have downloaded this game. To mark the milestone of 30 million downloads, Kuro Games generously provided each Wuthering Waves player with Lustrous Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x5 for free.>
