In the game “Wuthering Waves,” six new characters slated for playability in the 2.0 cycle have been unveiled. Among these anticipated units is Phrolova, a beloved adversary who was initially encountered by players during the early stages of “Wuthering Waves.”
In the game “Wuthering Waves,” there are now 32 playable characters, with Zani and Ciaccona being the newest additions. Since Rinascita was launched in Version 2.0, the game has been regularly introducing new characters in each update. However, when the Ragunna chapter ended in Version 2.3, players wondered what would follow. Now, Kuro Games has given some insight into the future updates of “Wuthering Waves,” including a fresh location and additional characters.
In a sequence of tweets on its official account, the game Wuthering Waves has disclosed six characters joining the game from version 2.5 and onwards. One of them is Phrolova, who made her debut in Version 1.0 but takes on a significant antagonist role in Rinascita. The other five characters are Chisa, Qiuyuan, Galbrena, Iuno, and Augusta. Details about their elements, weapons, or affiliations have not been revealed yet, although Galbrena is hinted to be proficient with pistols and Chisa seems to wield a broadblade. Qiuyuan’s name and attire give indications that he hails from Jinzhou, which may suggest a return to this region for players in the future. Phrolova, Iuno, and Augusta will be featured in the main story chapters of version 2.4, set in Septimont, as shown in the latest livestream.
Wuthering Waves Reveals Six Upcoming Playable Characters
- Phrolova
- Chisa
- Qiuyuan
- Galbrena
- Iuno
- Augusta
According to her background, Phrolova belongs to the ruling council, or the Fractsidus, of a hostile group known as the Threnodians on Solaris-3. She possesses formidable abilities similar to Hecate, capable of summoning and controlling Echoes. While many fans believe she could be a top-tier unit (5-Star), the game developers at Wuthering Waves have not yet confirmed her rarity level. If all the next six characters are indeed 5-Stars, the divide between character classes would widen as there are currently only 11 four-star units in Wuthering Waves. On a positive note, the Version 2.4 trailer hinted at Scar’s return, another eagerly awaited character; however, it appears he may not be playable anytime soon.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m super excited about the upcoming update for “Wuthering Waves” Version 2.4! Mark your calendars for June 12 because that’s when we’ll be setting sail to a brand new explorable region called Septimont. This patch will be the grand entrance for the 5-star units, Cartethyia and Lupa, into the playable scene.
In addition, “Wuthering Waves” is also giving us some fresh looks with new skins for Carlotta and Changli, and there are some exciting new features in store for the Glider and Wings as well! Can’t wait to dive in!
