Everything You Need To Know About “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” | Wuthering Waves 2.1
How to Unlock
As a gamer, I can unlock the “Fantasies of a Thousand Doors” game mode when I’ve met these requirements:
- Reach Union Level 30.
- Complete the Chapter II Act I main quest: “The Sacred Breeze So Often Breathes.”
- Activate the Resonance Nexus at Rinascita City. You’ll do this naturally during the Chapter II story.
After fulfilling these prerequisites, you’ll unlock the “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” side mission. Since it’s a tutorial mission, you can simply follow along in-game for a quick introduction to this new game mode. Once you complete the quest, you’ll be free to explore and play this game mode at your leisure!
How to Start and Play
In the game Wuthering Waves, the “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” mode is quite straightforward. After finishing the tutorial, you have the freedom to engage with the red gateway in Rinascita whenever you choose. Additionally, you can instantly teleport there by choosing “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” from the Repeatable Quests menu.
Initially, it’s essential to assemble a group of up to three team members who are known as Resonators. Keep in mind that each week, a selection of Dreamscape Aid Resonators will be chosen. For instance, this current week includes Phoebe, Jihnsi, Shorekeeper, and Verina. By incorporating these Resonators into your team, you’ll have the opportunity to gain 150% extra Illusive Points. These Resonators will bear a tag indicating “Points x150%”, as demonstrated in the illustration provided.
When putting together your team, remember that certain Dreamscape Aid enhancements will be in effect as well. These adjustments are subject to change weekly, similar to the Dreamscape Aid Resonators. As an illustration, one of the current Dreamscape Aids grants all Resonators a 30% boost to Spectro DMG.
In the given realm, unlike the Illusive Realm, there are no Trial Resonators available for selection. However, utilizing Dreamscape Aids and Dreamscape Aid Resonators is not compulsory; it simply makes it simpler to reach the weekly cap of 6000 Illusive Points if you choose to do so.
Additionally, as your SOL3 Phase advances, you’ll gain access to more challenging levels. These levels feature tougher adversaries, but they also offer a greater number of Illusive Points for you to collect.
Progressing through the Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways
In this difficulty setting, it operates much like games within the action roguelike genre, such as “Depths of the Illusive Realm” mode. To summarize, after choosing your squad and initiating the challenge, you’ll find yourself in an arena filled with a haphazardly generated assortment of adversaries.
As a passionate player, I eagerly engage in vanquishing adversaries to unveil an enigmatic creature. This mystical being then offers me the opportunity to select one of three intriguing Symbols drawn from a pool of randomness. These Symbols come with unique abilities that can significantly enhance my combat prowess. It’s essential to thoroughly comprehend each Symbol’s attributes and choose the one that aligns best with my strategy and the composition of my Resonators!
Once you’ve chosen a Metaphor, go ahead and engage with one of the available doors in the arena to move on to the next area. Remember, many of these doors will take you to various fights. But don’t forget to watch for a Restful Recollection door too. These unique doors grant access to a special room where you can restore your Resonators!
You’ll find yourself traversing through 13 distinct zones, each one following the other. The order you encounter these zones and the specific types of enemies within them are somewhat unpredictable. However, there’s a guarantee that you’ll come across two especially formidable Tacet Discord bosses in zones number 7 and 13.
Overcoming these bosses grants you the opportunity to obtain prizes from Remnant Crystals, but it will require 60 Waveplates. If you’re willing to part with 120 Waveplates, you can double your rewards instead.
The primary incentives consist of Unborn Echoes, Luxury Enclosed Containers, High-End Tuners, and Conch Currencies. What sets Unborn Echoes apart is their ability to grant you a variety of Echoes from the category of your choice at random!
Make Use of the Lucid Dream State
One of your most effective tools for conquering the “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” challenge in Wuthering Waves is called Lucid Dream. You can locate it at the upper-left corner of your screen. This feature operates similarly to a powerful skill. Build up its energy by attacking enemies, and once it’s fully charged, use it when you’re ready.
Once you turn it on, you’ll find yourself in a Lucid Dream for approximately 10 seconds. The effects of this state, which are influenced by the week’s Dreamscape Aids and your chosen Metaphors, can differ each time you use it. Despite the inconsistency, it’s always beneficial and offers a significant advantage to you.
Remember that the Lucid Dream energy varies across different areas. Therefore, it’s wise to hold onto your energy when getting close to a boss zone!
Rewards
To wrap up, let’s discuss the benefits you stand to gain from the “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” in Wuthering Waves. Previously mentioned, you will accumulate Illusive Points as you conquer zones throughout the challenge. The more zones you clear within a run, and the higher the difficulty level, the greater the number of Illusive Points you’ll collect. You can potentially earn up to 6000 Illusive Points each week. With luck and the use of Dreamscape Aid Resonators, it’s possible to gather them all in a single successful run at higher difficulties.
These are the current reward tiers:
- 1000 Illusive Points – Astrite x40
- 2000 Illusive Points – Advanced Sealed Tube x5
- 3000 Illusive Points – Astrite x60
- 4000 Illusive Points – Advanced Resonance Potion x5
- 5000 Illusive Points – Astrite x60
- 6000 Illusive Points – Shell Credit x60,000
In this new “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways” weekly mode in Wuthering Waves, it’s important to note that the rewards you earn will be refreshed every week. It remains unclear whether these rewards will stay consistent each week or if they might vary. Here concludes our guide! Now you have all the essential information to maximize your experience with this weekly mode.
