Wuthering Waves remains one of the top gacha game experiences, alongside Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. According to leaks, the upcoming 3.0 update will introduce an expansive new region inspired by a popular Final Fantasy title. However, we’re currently in the midst of Wuthering Waves’ second chapter, with version 2.4 set for release in June. Before its launch, Kuro Games are hosting a preview event, and here you can find the countdown to the start time of the Wuthering Waves 2.4 livestream, as well as details on how to watch and the new characters that will be featured in the banner.
When does the Wuthering Waves 2.4 livestream start?
The Wuthering Waves 2.4 livestream will begin at 4AM Pacific Time, 7AM Eastern Time, or 12PM British Summer Time on May 30th. This has been officially announced by Kuro Games through their WuWa official X account.

The length of the preview isn’t specified, but it usually ranges from 40 minutes to an hour. This sneak peek will include all the events planned for section 2.4, which is tentatively scheduled for release on June 12th.
Besides the impending sneak peek, WuWa will likely show up at Summer Game Fest on June 6th. Geoff Keighley has shared an exclusive early look at version 2.4, which includes the initial gameplay footage of a new playable character, Cartethyia.

How to watch
You can catch the live stream of Wuthering Waves 2.4 on both Twitch and YouTube. Watching it live is especially beneficial since the developers often provide codes for redeemable rewards during these special broadcasts.
As soon as the codes are unveiled, we’ll promptly pass them on to you. Make sure to use them right away because they tend to expire swiftly. Usually, the rewards consist of Astrite, along with potions, energy cores, and shell credits.
New WuWa banner characters
In the upcoming update 2.4, two new characters from WuWa become playable: Cartethyia and Lupa. While it’s anticipated that Cartethyia will appear at the start of the game (phase 1), Lupa is set to make her debut in phase 2.
According to the official game sources, Cartethyia is a top-tier Aero character, armed with a sword. Similarly, Lupa is also a five-star character, with Fusion as her specialty and a broadblade as her preferred weapon.
