In AI Limit, there’s a wealth of weapons and armor to discover, but not all of it is simply lying around waiting to be picked up. Some items can be bought from merchants, while others are hidden behind Nucleus trading, an aspect of the game that players won’t be able to access until they’ve progressed further.
Nuclei can serve dual purposes – as energy sources and as crucial components for creating stronger weapons. If you’ve dabbled in any of the numerous Soulslike games, this idea might not be foreign to you. But if you’re unsure about what to do with the glistening Nucleus you discovered in AI Limit, here’s a guide.
What Are Nuclei in AI Limit?
In the game AI Limit, a Nucleus functions as the main component or heart of a boss-type enemy. Immediately upon encountering one, players have the ability to attach it to alter some of their own attributes. More specifically, Nuclei can influence the following aspects:
*Note: The original sentence uses bold for emphasis which cannot be represented in this response format.*
- Absorption Rate: This refers to how many Crystals you get after defeating an enemy.
- Retention Rate: This stat refers to the amount of Crystals you get to keep after dying.
- Energy Absorption: This refers to how much Mud Energy (Sync Rate) you gain after defeating enemies. This does not seem to affect the amount of energy gained when hitting enemies with basic attacks.
To progress quickly during the early stages of play, consider opting for a Nucleus that boasts a high Absorption Rate, such as Elite Necro’s Nucleus. This will help you gain experience points more swiftly. If, however, you frequently find yourself losing health, it may be beneficial to choose one with a higher Retention Rate instead.
How to Get & Use Nuclei in AI Limit
In this game, many bosses you defeat will yield a Nucleus, while others such as the Three-Faced Pardoner and the Saint will provide equipment instead. Some of this equipment is quite impressive, so don’t let it disappoint you.
Initially, you have two options: either use a Nucleus or trade it for Crystals. However, we strongly advise against selling the Nucleus as it can be exchanged for boss weapons instead. If your aim is to exchange a Nucleus within AI Limit, you’ll need to advance in the game and reach the Underground Parish level, which follows immediately after defeating the Cleansing Knight.
Upon arriving at the Underground Parish, mark the nearby Branch and continue down the corridor. You’ll encounter a doctor named Adrammalech along with his robot assistant, Assis. Engage in conversation with the doctor, during which he’ll propose a trade for the Nuclei you possess. If you choose not to trade with Adrammalech, feel free to speak with Assis instead.
In this game, trading at the Nucleus market demands a unique Nucleus and numerous Crystals. From what I understand, during one gaming session, players can’t acquire multiple identical Nuclei from distinct bosses. Therefore, be cautious when deciding which Nucleus to trade, as you won’t likely get another copy of it for a while.
