Saber release date in Honkai Star Rail

As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news straight from HoYoverse! Mark your calendars for July 11, 2025, as that’s when we can finally get our hands on Saber in Honkai Star Rail! This announcement aligns perfectly with the upcoming version 3.4 update. Saber, a powerful 5-star Wind character on the Path of Destruction, is set to join our ranks. Can’t wait!

The banner for Saber is identified as a “Specialized Collaboration Warp” banner and carries its own separate pity count, distinct from the character banners currently in play. The collaboration banners featuring Saber and Archer will have an extended availability period, though no specific length was specified; it’s reasonable to anticipate that they will last longer than the standard three-week duration.

In the disclosure for Saber, we get a good sense of the project’s details. Additionally, it provides some insight into her personality if you’re new to the Fate/ franchise.

Her quote included her iconic line: “Are you my master?”

The Lone Heroic Soul journeys through the lengthy night of destiny. The flag of the circular table stays hoisted in a vision. Regrettably, the king-knight of Camelot hasn’t arrived at that faraway ideal land yet.

In this version, I tried to maintain the poetic and dramatic tone while making it more approachable for readers by using “journeys” instead of “traverses,” “hoisted” instead of “unfurled,” “ideal land” instead of “utopia,” and simplifying the sentence structure.

Despite her youthfulness, she has responded to the summons for this extraordinary version of the Holy Grail War. As the Sword in the Stone presents its selection anew, how will she dispel the veils from the past events?

“The wishes I did not fulfil will end here.”

Saber’s reveal post

Artoria Pendragon is actually known as Saber, a character inspired by King Arthur from the Arthurian tales. She is renowned for her use of Excalibur, the legendary sword.

As a fan, I find it fascinating that in the Fate canon, the names of the “Servants” – the personalities summoned from mythology, legends, or history – carry immense power over them. To maintain balance and control, they are primarily known by their classes rather than their True Names. For example, Artoria is designated as Saber in this particular version, a choice that highlights her strength and valor on the battlefield.

As a dedicated gamer immersed in the world of Fate, let me share some insights about what we’re diving into next: the importance of the collaboration. While the narrative beyond Fate/stay night has been scattered and disjointed, there’s one consistent element that ties the entire franchise together, even in games like Fate/Grand Order – the Holy Grail War.

In a Holy Grail War, powerful entities known as Servants are conjured by their Masters with the aim of obtaining the mythical Holy Grail. While Saber and Archer have been confirmed as playable characters in this collaboration, it’s likely that additional servants from Fate/stay night such as Lancer, Caster, Rider, Assassin, or Berserker may show up as non-player characters (NPCs).
