Right off the bat, Honkai: Star Rail has proven itself as one of the top gacha games, standing out for its captivating settings, engaging narrative, and tactical gameplay. What truly sets it apart are its exceptional characters, meticulously crafted with a great deal of affection and attention to detail that surpasses any characters from HoYoverse’s previous series by a significant margin.

HoYoverse tends to introduce almost all significant characters into the narrative, but some unfortunately don’t receive playable status. To fully explore the vast, interconnected potential of team formations across this universe, many more characters we’re eagerly anticipating should be made playable in the future.

Screwllum

The Greatest Hacker In The Cosmos (Erudition / Lightning)

This rather enigmatic character is a prominent figure within the Genius Society, and has made a significant impact on the narrative thus far, albeit mostly behind the scenes. Known as Screwllum, he’s an Intellitron with a knack for hacking who aims to leverage his skills to bridge conflicts between organic and non-organic beings.

Among the programmers crafting the Simulated World and belonging to the Elite Scholars Guild, Screwllum assumes significant importance. Given his proximity to The Herta, it would be intriguing to see him develop into a character who complements her effectively, as well as Ruan Mei, since they are the principal architects of the Simulated World together.

Oswaldo

A Trailblazing Mystery (Preservation / Fire)

You might find this name familiar, yet struggle to recall why. Oswaldo, however, is an enigmatic figure of significance, one that we’ve never encountered before. At present, he holds a top position within the Marketing Development Department of IPC as P47. Known for his impulsive nature, he is fiercely committed to concepts such as Aeon and Qlipoth. His travels, much like ours, have taken him across the vast expanse of the universe.

There’s something intriguing about Oswaldo that warrants further exploration – it seems he was once associated with The Nameless, a group not easily accessible or open to casual membership. Additionally, Oswaldo has been aligned with the Path of Trailblaze, which suggests his significance in the context of Aeon, Akivili, and Trailblazer lore.

Duke Inferno

The Demon Of Fire (Destruction / Fire)

As a gamer, I’d say: I’m up against this formidable Fire Demon character, known as Ifrit, who reigns over the Ever-Flame Mansion. His goal? Unleash the Path of Destruction, causing chaos across the cosmos. This guy is no joke; he’s got the power to obliterate entire planets and civilizations without breaking a sweat. He’s an unstoppable force of destruction, making him one of the most feared NPCs in gaming circles.

Unfortunately, his death occurs off-screen, leaving devoted fans in emotional turmoil since he was a much-anticipated figure. Similar to Fugue and other characters, being written out doesn’t necessarily mean permanent goodbye. It’s hoped that HoYoverse will take notice of the fanbase’s requests when they run short on fresh character concepts and resurrect our Destruction king for another round of vengeance.

Siobhan

Tending To Our Hurt Hearts (Harmony / Fire)

On the vibrant world of Penacony, you’ll encounter the captivating Siobhan. As the second leader of the Iris Family, she also oversees the Dreamjolt Hostelry. Her expertise lies not only in mixing delectable drinks but also in concocting potent beverages designed to aid those seeking solace for their emotions and memories.

Her design is meticulously organized, and we believe she would excel as an exceptional Four-Star character, primarily specializing in drink mixing. This role might involve debilitating opponents and enhancing allies, making her a potential Fire Type with flamethrowers akin to Molotov cocktails, capable of scorching adversaries who dare cross her path.

Diamond

A Strong Presence (Emanator of Preservation / Imaginary)

Diamond serves as both the chief of the Ten Stonehearts and the head of IPC’s Strategic Development Department. It would come as quite an astonishment if we didn’t manage to secure all ten members of the Ten Stonehearts, but Diamond is undeniably one of the crucial few that we must acquire.

As a potent leader and Preservation’s beacon, he’s likely to match Acheon and The Herta in party membership, maybe even surpassing them. His character seems geared towards resolving issues peacefully when feasible, but being an Emanator implies he possesses exceptionally powerful abilities.

Mr. Reca

Filming Our Adventure For The Records (Remembrance / Lightning)

This renowned director, known for creating magnificent films spanning various galaxies, is someone who merits attention at our upcoming events. Known as Mr. Reca, he’s a Memokeeper on the Path of Remembrance who has graced numerous occasions and missions on Penacony. We eagerly anticipate his moment in the limelight within the intricately woven tale that Honkai: Star Rail is developing for its gacha game narrative.

As a fan, it would truly be regrettable not to see Mr. Reca, with his intricately designed character, get the chance to join the playable roster. His unique abilities, such as capturing enemies on film and stunning them, could bring an entertaining twist to gameplay that harmonizes beautifully with our beloved characters.

Obsidian

A Dark Future Ahead (Preservation / Fire)

As a dedicated gamer, there’s one character from the Ten Stonehearts that I eagerly anticipate joining the playable roster: the enigmatic Obsidian. This elusive figure within the Strategic Investment Development of the IPC is shrouded in mystery, but her chilling demeanor sets her apart as one of the harshest among the Ten Stonehearts.

Following the Conservationist’s Journey suggests she could make an excellent ally in our group, much like other members of the Ten Stonehearts. However, it seems she has a penchant for violence. You might picture her as someone who safeguards her team while inflicting significant harm upon enemies.

2.

Phainon

The Worldbearing Hero (Rememberance / Physical)

Phainon, also called The Unnamed Savior or The Ruler-to-Be, is one of the Chrysos Heirs foretold in prophecy. It’s said that he will bring salvation and take his place on the throne. Accompanied by a mighty claymore and the Coreflame of Worldbearing, he wandered the cosmos after his home planet was destroyed until arriving at Amphoreus where he met the other Heirs.

Given the immense adoration he has garnered since day one and the overwhelming affection he and the other Chrysos Heirs have received on Amphoreus, it seems less a question of if he will be added and more a matter of when. With his Coreflame in consideration, it is highly probable that he will soon be part of the Path of Remembrance. Other Heirs, like Aglaea, had their Flame-chaser’s Path adjusted to this playable path, which seems fitting for Phainon as well.

Your Forever Trusty Companion (Trailblaze And Harmony / Physical)

As a gamer, I can’t help but adore the charming captain of the Astral Express, Pom-Pom, who’s been with us since day one. With their endearing design and intricate backstory, it’s no wonder they’ve become a fan favorite. It’s not hard to imagine that there might be some cosmic secret lurking beneath those cute eyes of Pom-Pom!

At first glance, it might appear that Pom-Pom’s role is merely as the conductor. However, given their enigmatic nature during the journey and the air of mystery surrounding them, there’s a strong possibility that they possess hidden powers tucked away behind their ears. We’ve always been fond of Pom-Pom and long for more opportunities to interact with them. If they ever become playable characters, our hope is to invest in them diligently until they reach the Eidolon level six.
