Warner Bros. wrapped up its presentation at CinemaCon by revealing release dates for a bunch of new movies, including a prequel to “Weapons,” the seventh “Final Destination” film, and a prequel to “Ocean’s Eleven” starring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper. With a merger with Paramount on the horizon, the studio has a strong lineup of films planned – everything from brand new stories to sequels and prequels.
Here are the seven new titles that Warner Bros. has dated in 2027 and 2028, in order of release.
- The Revenge of La Llorona (Apr. 9, 2027)
- Ocean’s prequel (Jun. 25, 2027)
- Evil Dead Wrath (Apr. 7, 2028)
- Final Destination 7 (May 12, 2028)
- The Flood (Aug. 11, 2028)
- Gladys (Sept. 8, 2028)
- Untitled Baz Luhrmann Joan of Arc film (Nov. 22, 2028)
Following 2019’s The Curse of La Llorona, The Revenge of La Lorona continues the story eight years later. Santiago Menghini is directing, and the film features Monica Raymund, Jay Hernandez, Raymond Cruz, and Edy Ganem. While not officially a Conjuring movie, it shares the same fictional world.
Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper are set to star in a prequel to the Ocean’s films. Cooper will also be directing the movie, which is planned for release before Ocean’s Fourteen – a sequel bringing back original cast members like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts.
The next Evil Dead movie, titled Evil Dead Wrath, is coming after Evil Dead Burn in 2026. Francis Galluppi will write and direct the film, which will star Charlotte Hope, Jessica McNamee, Zachary Gilford, Ella Newton, Josh Helman, Ella Oliphant, and Elizabeth Cullen.

Michiel Blanchart is set to direct the seventh Final Destination movie. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have scheduled its release for the same weekend as the successful 2025 release of Final Destination: Bloodlines, which earned $317 million globally. Details about the actors in the film haven’t been announced yet.
Zach Cregger, who previously directed Resident Evil, is now working on a new film called The Flood. This means he’s had to step away from directing Gladys, a prequel to Weapons that tells the backstory of the character Aunt Gladys. Amy Madigan will return to play Aunt Gladys, a role for which she won an Academy Award. While Cregger wrote the screenplay for Gladys, a new director will be announced shortly.
Not much is currently known about Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming film about Joan of Arc. It will be his first narrative feature since the successful 2022 film Elvis, which was also made with Warner Bros. and earned both commercial success and Academy Award nominations. Warner Bros. is likely hoping for a similar awards-season run when Joan of Arc is released over Thanksgiving weekend.
