Unlock Vault Underground’s Hidden Rewards

In the game update Wuthering Waves Version 2.1, a colossal storage facility known as Vault Underground was unveiled, built by the Montelli Family. This subterranean area is hidden beneath Averardo Vault and teems with rewards and trials for gamers to explore. One such trial is Dream Patrol, where players must fulfill certain criteria while engaging in combat against Tacet Discords.

As a gamer, I found myself standing before the enigmatic Vault Underground, teeming with two Dream Patrol challenges that caught my eye. To gain entry into this mysterious realm and its challenges, I needed to conquer the Exploration Quest “Silent as a Falling Leaf”, a quest that magically appeared in my log once I logged in during or after Version 2.1. Here’s how to tackle those two Dream Patrol challenges within the game “Wuthering Waves”.

Vault Underground Dream Patrol Challenges

Location #1

In the initial Dream Patrol adventure within Vault Underground, you’ll find the first challenge on the ground level of the Combined Metals and Artworks Storage. Once you activate the Resonance Beacon, venture inside the building and make your way to the room positioned behind the main staircase. Above the entrance door, there will be a security light players need to turn off using the Montelli Access Disabler tool.

As a gamer, I’ve got my hands full with this Dream Patrol mission. The goal is simple yet tricky – take down the Diurnus Knight in just 2.5 minutes, all while accomplishing three tasks simultaneously. This isn’t going to be easy, but the thrill of victory makes it worth the challenge!

  • Reach and maintain Battle Rank S or above for 8 seconds.
  • Complete 2 counterattacks.
  • Defeat the knight while it is immobilized.

Players can elevate their Battle Rank through attacking, evading, or retaliating. However, since the Diurnus Knight won’t be susceptible to counterattacks until it transforms into its advanced form, players should concentrate on boosting their Battle Rank in the interim. The Diurnus Knight indicates this transformation by bowing and creating three swords of different colors around itself.

The initial move the knight makes that can be dodged is a high-flying attack, in which it jumps backwards and then rushes towards the player from the air. Subsequently, following two swift turns with its sword, it attacks again by charging forward. This second attack is recognizable as the knight momentarily kneels after spinning.

To achieve the goal of making the Diurnus Knight immobile, players need to deal sufficient burst damage to defeat it when it’s staggered. Eating foods that enhance character damage can assist in achieving this state. Completing each objective will reward players with a Tidal Heritage, the rarity of which increases with each completion.

Location #2

The second Dream Patrol contest can be found at the Echo Depository, positioned slightly north from your last spot. Once you’ve activated the Resonance Beacon, make your way inside and venture towards the room that lies behind the staircase. In this challenge, players will face off against Rage Against the Statue within a tight timeframe of approximately 2 minutes and a half.

The three objectives for this challenge are:

  • Reach Battle Rank S for more than 10 seconds.
  • Immobilize Rage Against the Statue twice.
  • Take fewer than 10 hits.

For optimal performance, it’s advisable to start by removing the two Golden Junrocks and Calcified Junrocks initially. This action will help increase your Battle Rank and minimize unwanted blows. Subsequently, you can concentrate on pinning down the primary Tacet Discord.

When Rage Against the Statue’s stamina gauge reaches about half, it calls upon a rock barrier for defense, lessening the impact of staggering attacks. Attacking this barrier head-on will promptly incapacitate the enemy.

1) To keep Rage Against the Statue from being defeated prematurely before meeting the necessary immobilization, players should let it rest first before making it summon another rock shield. Successfully completing all tasks in this Dream Patrol mission will grant players access to all three Tidal Heritage rarities as well. At present, these are the only two Dream Patrol challenges available in Vault Underground.
