As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt and a wallet that’s seen better days, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and dread at the prospect of Honkai Star Rail 2.7. The return of Sunday and Tingyun, two characters whose absence has been felt deeply within the community, is not just a breath of fresh air, but a gust that threatens to sweep me into the abyss of bankruptcy.
It’s common knowledge that new updates often bring more beloved characters, or waifus in this case. The excitement among the community, including myself, revolves around the possibility of two popular characters reappearing in the upcoming version 2.7 of Honkai Star Rail. Rumors suggest that Sunday and Tingyun might make a comeback, much to everyone’s anticipation. However, I’m worried that if they both show up on the same banners, it could lead to financial trouble for me. Yet, the prospect of missing out on either character is a risk I’m not ready to take.
It seems that Sunday might join phase 1 as an Imaginary Harmony character, adding another element to our roster. While I’m thrilled to see him return, it’s important to remember that he strayed from this Path. The Action Advance mechanic is not unique for the Imaginary, but what caught my interest is the rumor that he’ll possess the Energy Overflow skill. This ability would enable him to store and share energy with his teammates, potentially allowing them to use their Ultimates more frequently.
Regarding the anticipated developments in Tingyun’s storyline within Honkai Star Rail 2.7, based on rumors, we can expect to delve deeper into her past, both before and after Phantylia. The foxian has been reportedly influenced by The Destruction, which ultimately led to her survival even after being discarded by Phantylia. Her persistence is a direct result of the corruption inflicted upon her body by The Destruction. Previous leaks suggest a darker transformation for Tingyun, featuring multiple Kitsune tails, but no details have been revealed about her banner yet.
I’m not concerned about whether these two characters work well together or if they will benefit my existing teams. I simply intend to acquire both of them somehow, even though I can only do so by borrowing money for now. Keep in mind that this is just speculation based on leaks, and we’ll have to wait to find out what HoYoverse has planned for us. But with the 2.5 storyline, I have reasons to suspect that at least one of these leaked characters could be genuine.
