The Trail Blazers had a slow start to the game and struggled to find their rhythm. They only scored 16 points in the first quarter and were outplayed by the Suns in the second, being outscored 29-21. As a result, they went into halftime trailing 51-37.
The game changed in the second half, as both teams started scoring more consistently. Portland really took control in the third and fourth quarters, and managed to cut a 19-point lead down to just three points with only 36 seconds remaining.
But Devin Booker quickly stopped Portland’s attempt to get back in the game with a dunk, putting the Suns ahead 101-96 with only 27 seconds remaining.
