‘The View’ Hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar Tell Parents to ‘Protect Your Kids’ From Trump After He Was ‘Simulating a Sex Act’ on a Microphone: ‘The Mic Should Take a Restraining Order’

As someone who has always identified as a Republican and served in the White House under President Trump, I must admit that this election season has been a turning point for me. The actions, words, and overall demeanor of our current president have caused me significant concern about the direction our country is heading.

On Election Day, the hosts of “The View” expressed their hope that Kamala Harris would triumph over Donald Trump in the presidential race. Sunny Hostin, in particular, admitted to feeling a mix of optimism and unease, which she described as being “nauseously optimistic.” All five co-hosts – Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin – cast their ballots for Harris. Remarkably, even Griffin, a Republican who had served in Trump’s administration, voted for a Democrat for the very first time in her life.

Griffin stated that his vote for Harris feels like a loan. He’s concerned about the path Donald Trump might lead the nation, taking his own caution seriously. He seeks a compassionate and unifying leader who can heal the country. While he doesn’t concur with many of her policies, they can discuss those differences later. For now, what matters most is ensuring a better future for our country, which means defeating Donald Trump and electing Kamala Harris.

Haines applauded Griffin for her choice to support the Democratic party, even though she’s traditionally a Republican. He expressed, “I consider this a significant shift for you, given your lifelong Republican affiliation. To me, it’s not about voting for a Democrat but rather for democracy and the constitution. I appreciate your courage in making that choice…[You] may face criticism, but you made the right decision, and I commend you for that.

Haris seems encouraging to Behar, as she perceives a significant decline in Donald Trump during the latter part of his campaign. She highlights a controversial incident at Trump’s November 1 rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he appeared to mimic an act involving a microphone that was positioned too low.

Behar remarked, as the audience from ‘The View’ erupted in laughter and applause, ‘That microphone should seek a restraining order.’ She was referring to the fact that no American would want their children exposed to the possibility of seeing a U.S. president mimicking a sexual act. It appears he is sinking lower and lower, not just on that microphone.

Goldberg concurred, expressing, “Yesterday, when we broadcast that clip of him with the microphone, it disturbed me all day and left me puzzled. However, this morning, I finally understood. I am against any parents being worried or frightened about what their children are learning from drag queens reading books to them. If the actions you witnessed yesterday didn’t repel you enough to safeguard your kids, then I prefer not to hear from you anymore.

During the election period, the co-hosts of “The View” have been vocal in their criticism towards Trump. This led to him referring to them as “really dumb people” at a rally in Reading, Pennsylvania last month. However, he also recalled having Goldberg perform at one of his casinos for a comedy event. Despite this, he was not pleased with her act, calling it “filthy dirty” and “disgusting.

Goldberg responded sharply to Trump after the rally, stating bluntly that he was dirty and stood by that claim. He went on to mention that he had always been dirty, a fact that should have been obvious when he was hired. Interestingly, Goldberg had hosted events at Trump’s casino, an engagement he might have continued if Trump hadn’t mismanaged the business. In a tone of disbelief, he asked Trump how unintelligent he was, as Trump had hired him on four different occasions. Didn’t you know what you were getting when you hired me? How unintelligent are you?

Goldberg concluded the Election Day episode of “The View” by advocating for unity at polling stations, stating: “I’d like to address those of you who are out there voting and waiting in lines, if you witness other voters being bothered or harassed, don’t hesitate to act. Contact someone – a police officer, a poll worker, anyone. Sadly, a woman was punched in the stomach in Florida, and she wasn’t doing anything wrong…If we stand together and make it clear that we won’t tolerate such behavior, we won’t let people harass voters. We must take action.
