This robot, known for his brilliance and peacemaking abilities, has always been a beacon of hope in this universe plagued by conflict.
In the final act of the Penacony tale, it was speculated that a specific Halovian character and a certain genie would be featured as the next 5-star characters on promotional posters. But for several updates, the Xianzhou Alliance grabbed the limelight instead. Recent rumors from Honkai Star Rail suggest that Screwllum, member #76 of the Genius Society, might join the cast of playable characters next. This robot would be the third one to do so, following Herta who debuted and Ruan Mei who was introduced in Version 1.6, and has already had a re-run in 2.3.
Despite the leaked details suggesting mere hints of Screwllum’s Path within Honkai Star Rail being labeled as Erudition, many speculate that this could indeed be the case due to his association with brilliant peers who also tread a similar path. If confirmed, Screwllum would excel in multi-target attacks, though his element remains a mystery. Known for brokering peace between organic and mechanical life forms on his planet, he rose to become its ultimate leader. Additionally, he is renowned as an exceptional hacker, with only Silver Wolf being his equal – according to Herta’s accounts.
Furthermore, it’s been leaked that Screwllum’s attacks involve themes of screws, bolts, clockwork, and mechanical butterflies. It is uncertain if the more humanoid and chivalrous robot will emerge after the Xianzhou Alliance incident with Borisin. Fingers crossed we don’t have to endure another Amber era before Screwllum makes an appearance outside Herta Space Station, as he is a valuable ally of ours. At least, this genius has been friendly towards the Astral Express; we are yet to fully understand his motivations.
