As a seasoned veteran of Honkai Impact 3rd, I must say that this team composition is a gem for those who are relatively new to the game and don’t have all the fancy five-star units. It’s a blend of power and strategy that, once mastered, can take down even the toughest of enemies.
It’s no secret that the gameplay in Honkai: Star Rail relies heavily on the teams you assemble, with certain characters relying more on their teammates for effectiveness. Regrettably, Rappa falls into the category of characters whose value can decrease substantially when not properly supported by a strong team.
She’s an exceptionally intelligent character, rated highly in wisdom, with an imaginary combat style. Her primary damage output (DPS) comes from dealing break damage. The problem is that not many support characters align with this gameplay style, making it challenging for her to find suitable teammates and expand her options.
Best Rappa team
Rappa | Main DPS |
---|---|
Ruan Mei | Support |
Harmony Trailblazer | Support/Sub-DPS |
Lingsha | Healer/Sub-DPS |
If Firefly is part of your gaming roster, you probably won’t be taken aback by this squad since it presently stands as the top choice for any DPS characters based on Break mechanics. Apart from Rappa, Lingsha is the newest member to join this elite group and she seems to complete the jigsaw. Lingsha possesses a follow-up attack that regularly breaks the opponent’s Defense.
Beyond that, she can assault all foes using both her Ability and Ultimate simultaneously. If an enemy has a Fire Vulnerability, Lingsha will become one of your key contributors in reducing the enemy’s durability within this squad. Furthermore, she is capable of executing both single-target and mass healing, ensuring your team remains unscathed.
Despite Lingsha’s worth in the team decreasing noticeably without Fire Weakness, she remains capable of being effectively utilized as a healer.
In essence, Ruan Mei’s job within the team is twofold: firstly, to boost the team’s Weakness Break Efficiency; secondly, to make it harder for the enemy to recuperate from their exposed weaknesses. Meanwhile, the Trailblazer possesses the ability to trigger additional Super Break damage with their ultimate, thus facilitating both Rappa and Lingsha.
With the same battle style as the Trailblazer, Rappa swiftly exploits the enemies’ vulnerabilities. When equipped with buffs from these characters, you’ll often observe Rappa dealing over 200,000 damage, even using a friendly build for free-to-play players.
Rappa F2P Team
Rappa | Main DPS |
---|---|
Pela | DEF shredder |
Harmony Trailblazer | Support/Sub-DPS |
Gallagher | Healer |
For those just starting out in the game and lacking many high-tier characters, here’s a team composition that would work best for you. If by chance you have Ruan Mei or Lingsha, consider substituting them with Pela or Gallagher respectively to significantly boost your team’s performance.
Harmony Trailblazer can be obtained for free in one of two ways: by progressing through the primary storyline or by visiting the event tab and opting to bypass certain elements. Pela’s primary function within this team is to weaken the defense of opponents, thereby boosting Rappa’s damage output. However, she is also capable of inflicting moderate Toughness damage if the enemy has a vulnerability to Ice.
In this team setup, it’s suggested to frequently employ Pela’s fundamental attack for better results, and also make more frequent use of Trailblazer’s skill to maximize Toughness damage.
With Gallagher capable of dishing out some harm through her Ultimate and a boosted Basic Attack afterwards, she primarily serves to keep the team alive. If your team lacks sustaining power, you could consider using characters such as Aventurine, Luocha, or Lynx instead.
Rappa Firefly Team
Rappa | Main DPS |
---|---|
Firefly | Main DPS |
Harmony Trailblazer | Support/Sub-DPS |
Lingsha | Support/Sub-DPS |
Although this team may initially appear to be a humorous stereotype based on the characters’ roles, it becomes so much more than just a joke under specific circumstances. It is indisputable that both Rappa and Firefly excel as top Damage Per Second (DPS) units in the game, provided the enemy doesn’t conceal its vulnerabilities.
In contrast to Rappa, Firefly doesn’t necessarily require the enemy to possess Imaginary Weakness; instead, it’s this unique difference that forms the basis for this team composition. Leveraging Firefly’s Skill in a boosted state, when you have an Imaginary Weakness advantage, will enable your entire four-member squad to effectively bypass the enemy’s Toughness.
Although it may take slightly longer because there’s no Weakness Break Efficiency, the added number of attacks will compensate for that delay.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the challenge with this gaming team lies primarily in managing skill points. Firefly is constantly needing skill points for each turn, whereas Rappa doesn’t generate many throughout the game. Also, it would be beneficial to utilize Lingsha’s skill whenever she gets her turn, although it isn’t strictly necessary.
To resolve this issue, you’ll require unique light cones that resemble Bronya’s and Ruan Mei’s signature abilities by repeatedly generating Skill Points. Additionally, it’s essential to utilize Trailblazer’s basic attack during each turn, regardless of the available Skill Points you possess.
