As a seasoned veteran of Honkai Impact 3rd, I can confidently say that Rappa’s light cone choices are as tricky as her moveset! With years of battling under my belt, I’ve come to appreciate the finesse required to master this feisty little ninja.

In Honkai: Star Rail, it’s not common to encounter new characters before their official release, but Rappa is an exception to this rule. Since these characters lack initial fanfare, they have a lot to prove. However, Rappa managed to impress players with her captivating and vibrant personality.

She’s a five-star Imaginary unit following the path of Erudition, and her main play style is based on Break-based damage. While she might not have a lot of choices, Rappa can still be great for endgame modes if you build her properly.

Best Rappa Relics And Planar Ornaments

Prior to Boothill’s debut, Honkai: Star Rail didn’t feature any gameplay style focusing on Break-based damage. Although there were some four-star characters centered around this theme, they lacked sufficient equipment support, making them less effective in battles. Fortunately, the scenario has changed and you now have several viable options when it comes to Rappa.

Type Name Synergy With Rappa
Relics Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge This is undoubtedly the best in slot relic set for Rappa as it can give her some extra Break Effect while also allowing her to ignore up to 25 percent of the enemy’s DEF in certain situations.

These situations involve the character having over 250 percent Break Effect, which is fairly easy with Rappa’s teams.

Thief of Shooting Meteor If you’re in the early game, you can try going for this set to get a whopping 32 percent Break Effect while also regenerating Energy upon triggering Weakness Break.
Planar Ornaments Talia: Kingdom of Banditry While it might not be a great choice, Talia still serves as the best one for Rappa, giving her a 16 percent Break Effect initially and then another 20 percent if you can manage to get over 145 SPD.
Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern (situational) If you’re going to hit enemies with Fire weakness consistently, you can use this set instead to get some SPD and a whopping 40 percent Break Effect.

Rappa Relic Stat Priority

Type Main Stat Priority Sub Stat Priority
Head HP Break Effect > SPD > ATK Percent
Hands ATK Break Effect > SPD > ATK Percent
Body ATK Percent Break Effect > SPD
Feet SPD Break Effect > ATK Percent
Planar Sphere Imaginary DMG Bonus Break Effect > SPD > ATK Percent
Link Rope Break Effect SPD > ATK Percent

Best Rappa Light Cones

Rappa’s light cone situation is very similar to her relics, and here are your best choices:

Ninjutsu Inscription: Dazzling Evilbreaker As Rappa’s signature light cone, this one is bound to be her best in slot. It gives her a ton of Break Effect with extra Energy at the start of the battle.

Moreover, your movement can advance by 50 percent after using two basic attacks past the Ultimate, allowing you to do the third buffed basic attack much faster.

Night on the Milky Way While the ATK buff from this light cone is good, the best part about it is the 30 percent DMG bonus after breaking an enemy’s weakness.
After the Charmony Fall This is a gacha light cone that can increase both your Break Effect and SPD, with the latter only after using your Ultimate for two turns.
Eternal Calculus Finally, this F2P-friendly light cone is single-handedly good because of the 16 percent SPD you can get upon hitting more than three enemies, which helps a lot if you’re using the Talia ornament set.

Rappa Skill Overview And Priority

Rappa’s abilities may initially seem complex, but they become straightforward to apply after getting familiar with them.

  • Rappa’s skill attacks all enemies, taking a chunk of their weakness away. However, you won’t be using this a lot.
  • Upon using Rappa’s Ultimate, she gains three buffed basic attacks that can perform three instances of attacks each. The first two attacks deal damage to three enemies while the last one attacks them all.
  • When attacking a Weakness Broken enemy, Rappa can deal Super Break DMG. Moreover, the last attack of each buffed basic attack can deal extra Break DMG and Toughness DMG based on the charges she has.
  • You can get charges on Rappa by breaking enemy weakness. Elite enemy gives an extra stack and some Energy regeneration when their weakness is broken.

When it comes to upgrading Rappa, her Talent is the main priority as this increases the extra Break DMG you’ll deal. You can follow this up by her Ultimate and then the Basic Attack. While you don’t necessarily have to upgrade her Skill, you can still do it to around level six in case you need to use it sometimes.

Ultimately, it’s beneficial to activate Rappa’s extra skills as quickly as possible because they significantly impact her overall performance.
