In the second part of the Rinascita quest within Wuthering Waves, your voyage continues to Septimont where you encounter once more the members of Fractsidus. Simultaneously, you cross paths with an admirable warrior named Lupa, who leaves a lasting positive impact from their very first meeting.
In the latter part of Version 2.4 update, Lupa emerged as a playable five-star Fusion character, equipped with the Broadblade. Although she packs a substantial amount of damage, her primary function within the team is to boost the abilities of other characters significantly.
Best Lupa Weapons
As a Broadblade user, Lupa finds herself limited in choosing an exceptional weapon due to the scarcity of characters wielding this weapon in Wuthering Waves. Nevertheless, Wildfire Mark is her most powerful weapon thus far, given its status as her signature. Although other options exist, opting for them would lead to a substantial reduction in overall damage and utility potential.
Fortunately, the Broadblade, which meets a five-star standard, functions well with her too. Here are all your possible options:
1. It’s good to know that even the high-quality Broadblade operates satisfactorily with her as well. And here are your selections:
2. The top-tier Broadblade manages to work acceptably with her, and these are your choices:
3. Thankfully, the superior Broadblade is also compatible with her, and below you will find all your options:
5. The elite Broadblade operates satisfactorily with her as well, and these are your possibilities:
6. Luckily, the advanced Broadblade does work decently with her too, and here you’ll find all your options:
7. It’s fortunate that even this five-star standard Broadblade functions acceptably with her, and below you will discover all your choices:
Name | Rarity | Synergy With Lupa |
---|---|---|
![]() Wildfire Mark | Five-Star |
This is a fantastic weapon for Lupa since outside of the Crit DMG and the free ATK it provides, it gives her extra utility as a support too. It can increase her Resonance Liberation DMG by 24 percent whenever her Intro or Liberation is used. Heavy Attack DMG can extend this buff and also give other party members 24 percent Fusion DMG, which is big since it stacks with her kit. |
![]() Lustrous Razor | Five-Star |
This five-star standard weapon is already decent on Lupa since it gives her a ton of ATK and Energy Regen. However, it’s particularly good because she can easily use three different Resonance Skills. With these three skills activated, she can get up to 21 percent Liberation DMG bonus, which is the main damage source for her. |
![]() Autumntrace | Four-Star | This weapon gives Lupa some massive Crit Rate as the secondary stat, making it easier to build her. On top of that, it can easily give her an additional 20 percent ATK. |
![]() Waning Redshift | Four-Star | This weapon gives Lupa a ton of ATK and makes it easier for her to get her Resonance Liberation, which can help you with the overall cycle of her team. |
![]() Helios Cleaver | Four-Star | Another weapon that gives Lupa a ton of ATK, which slowly stacks up after she uses her Resonance Skill. |
Lupa Echo Guide

the Starlight Pounce or Swift Shadowstep.
Best Lupa Echo Sets
![]() Flaming Clawprint | This is undoubtedly the best echo set for Lupa in every situation as long as you can farm it. Apart from giving her some Fusion DMG, she can increase the entire party’s Fusion DMG and her own Liberation DMG upon activating her Liberation with this. |
---|---|
![]() Moonlit Clouds | If you’re in the early game, you can instead farm the Moonlit Clouds set, which lets her give some extra ATK to the resonator that she switches to with her Outro Skill. |
Best Lupa Main Echoes
The echo you place in the largest space on the echo display acts as the primary echo, thereby enabling you to utilize that echo’s ability on Lupa. Here are your top picks for each configuration:
1. The echo you slot into the most significant area on the echo interface functions as the lead echo, giving you the option to activate that echo’s power with Lupa. These are your prime options for both sets:
2. By placing the echo in the biggest compartment on the echo panel, it becomes the key echo, making it possible for you to employ that echo’s talent with Lupa. Here are your top recommendations for each configuration:
3. The echo you put into the largest opening on the echo board serves as the primary echo, allowing you to leverage that echo’s capability with Lupa. Here are your best options for both sets:
4. Positioning the echo in the biggest niche on the echo dashboard turns it into the main echo, so you can apply that echo’s skill on Lupa. These are your top picks for each configuration:
5. The echo you put in the largest recess on the echo station becomes the principal echo, which means you can utilize that echo’s talent with Lupa. Here are your top choices for both sets:
Echo Name | Set | Synergy With Lupa |
---|---|---|
![]() Lioness of Glory | Flaming Clawprint | As long as you have this echo equipped on Lupa, she can utilize a 12 percent Fusion and Liberation DMG bonus, which are both great for her. |
![]() Impermanence Heron | Moonlit Clouds | This echo synergizes well with the set you’re using. After you hit an enemy with one of its attacks, this echo regenerates some Energy for Lupa and gives an extra DMG bonus to the character you switch to with her Outro. |
Echo Stat Priority For Lupa
Cost 4 | Crit Rate > Crit DMG (unless you’re using Autumntrace) |
---|---|
Cost 3 | Fusion DMG Bonus > Energy Regen |
Cost 1 | ATK Percent |
Sub-Stats | Crit Rate/DMG > ATK Percent > Energy Regen > Resonance Liberation DMG |
In an optimal team setup, Lupa requires approximately 125-130% Energy Regeneration, and it’s quite achievable through sub-stat bonuses.
This allows her to apply a Fusion DMG Bonus Cost of three echos. Her optimal echo configuration is the standard setup of 4-3-3-1-1.
Best Lupa Team Compositions

Lupa Premium Team | Lupa, Brant, Changli |
---|---|
Lupa Alternate Team |
Lupa, Shorekeeper, Changli Lupa, Shorekeeper, Encore |
Lupa F2P Team | Lupa, Baizhi, Encore |
When examining Lupa’s equipment, it becomes clear that she performs optimally when three Fusion characters are part of her team. This requirement makes her ideal team composition quite specific. As you explore alternative teams, you’ll notice a significant decrease in damage output, particularly with the Free-to-Play team.
1. Lupa initiates with her abilities, benefiting from any Outro buffs that Brant or Changli have provided.
2. After Lupa, it’s Brant’s turn to act, leveraging the boosts given by Lupa or Changli.
3. Lastly, Changli finishes off the sequence, utilizing any remaining Outro buffs from Brant or Lupa.
4. The cycle repeats as each character gains an advantage from the previous teammate’s actions.
- Start with Lupa and execute her combination (mentioned below) before switching over to Brant with her Outro Skill.
- On Brant, start with your Resonance Liberation and then hold your basic attack for as long as you can. After that, press the basic attack once and use your enhanced Resonance Skill. You’ll fill up his Concerto bar with this.
- Finally, switch to Changli and use your basic attacks until you get two Forte bars. After that, use her Skill into a basic attack twice. This will fill up her Forte, allowing you to use a Heavy Attack. You can then use her Liberation into another Heavy Attack before switching to Lupa and repeating the cycle.
The rotation might adjust slightly depending on the team members you have, particularly when you replace Brant or Changli. However, Lupa’s role consistently stays the same.
Lupa Overview And Trace Priority

![]() | Weapon | Broadblade |
---|---|---|
Rarity | 5-Star | |
Role | Support / Sub-DPS | |
Support Utility | S+ Tier | |
Team Flexibility | Low |
After mastering Lupa’s top-tier weapons, allies, and abilities, it’s equally crucial to grasp her role. While Wuthering Waves often makes her kit seem intricate from the game’s explanation, she’s surprisingly straightforward in action. Here’s a breakdown of her key functions:
Origional: Now that you’ve learned the best weapons, echoes, and team members for Lupa, it’s also important to understand exactly what she does. In typical Wuthering Waves fashion, her kit can be quite complicated to understand from the game’s description. However, she’s quite a simple character in practice, and here’s what you need to know:
Lupa’s Kit, Explained
- Lupa can gain Wolflame from her normal attacks, Resonance Skills, and Resonance Liberation. However, you won’t be using the first two without the third in most situations. You can also convert every 50 Wolflame (up to 100) into one Wolfaith, which is identified as a wolf symbol on your forte bar.
- The main idea is to get two Wolfaith, allowing you to use an enhanced Resonance Skill, which deals high Resonance Liberation damage to the enemies.
-
Upon using Resonance Liberation, Lupa grants Pack Hunt and Glory effects to her teammates. Both of these effects last for 35 seconds, which is way longer than your general cycle will be, and here’s what they do:
- Pack Hunt grants six percent ATK and ten percent Fusion DMG to all allies, with an additional ten percent if you have three Fusion units in the team. The next two Intro Skills you cast can give an additional six percent ATK to her allies and enhance her next Intro Skill.
- Glory allows her entire team to ignore up to 15 percent of the enemy’s Fusion RES as long as you have a team of three Fusion characters. However, with two Fusion characters, this buff goes down to six percent.
- Using Resonance Skill after her Resonance Liberation also gives her the Burning Matchpoint effect, which allows her to build the forte bar much quicker with her normal attacks. This is an important part of her general cycle.
- Finally, Lupa’s Outro Skill can buff the next teammate’s Fusion and Basic Attack DMG.
Lupa Attack Combination
In most battles, Lupa is initially deployed without her Intro Skill being active because she has a single attack combo that starts the battle. To make the best use of her abilities, you should activate her Resonance Liberation at the start, immediately followed by her Resonance Skill. This will provide the Burning Matchpoint effect and all associated buffs right from the get-go.
When wielding the Lustrous Razor, you are able to employ two of her fundamental Resonance Abilities prior to unleashing her Liberation.
Afterward, continue using your standard attack until you notice two wolf symbols appearing on your Forte meter. Then, perform another Resonance Skill to deal damage and gather enough Concerto to switch to the following character. On this new character, you have eight seconds to execute their Liberation ability to initiate an additional attack from Lupa.
Lupa Trace Upgrade Priority
After examining Lupa’s equipment kit, it’s clear that her Resonance Liberation and Forte Circuit should receive priority when it comes to upgrades. Once these are taken care of, focus on improving her Normal Attack followed by her Intro Skill in sequence. While it isn’t necessary to max out the level of her Resonance Skill, it’s still a good idea to invest some points into it as well.
