The Best Cantarella Build, Weapons, Echoes, And Teams In Wuthering Waves

In each unveiling of a new playable unit, Wuthering Waves consistently astonishes the community. And that’s certainly true for Cantarella, who made her appearance during the Version 2.2 update. This impressive five-star Havoc Rectifier was highly anticipated due to her captivating design and backstory.

To maximize the strength of this particular character on your game account, it’s recommended that you equip her with top-tier weapons and echo sets. Additionally, placing her in a team setup that complements her abilities will be crucial, especially if you aim to conquer high-level game modes using her.

Best Cantarella Weapons

In the process of constructing Cantarella, her arsenal is particularly crucial, and this is showcased in the second tab of her character preview – her weapon. Each weapon comes equipped with a primary stat, a secondary stat, and an active ability. For Cantarella, her ideal weapon is her signature one, Whispers of Sirens, as it complements her abilities exceptionally well across all three categories.

Nevertheless, not every character’s signature weapon can be pulled consistently, and you have numerous alternatives to select the optimal weapon for Cantarella on your account.

Name Rarity Synergy With Cantarella

Whispers of Sirens

Five-Star Cantarella’s signature weapon gives her a whopping 72 percent Crit DMG with 12 percent ATK from the passive. Moreover, after casting two Echo skills, which is pretty easy for her, you can get more buffs.

These buffs include a 40 percent Basic Attack DMG bonus and 12 percent Havoc RES shred on the targets.

Rime-Draped Sprouts

Five-Star This is Zhezhi’s signature weapon, and it can suit Cantarella surprisingly well. It gives a similar Crit DMG and ATK boost as above while giving a Basic Attack DMG bonus when you use your Resonance Skill.

You can stack this effect up to three times. When you use your Outro Skills with three stacks, you gain a massive 52 percent off-field Basic Attack DMG bonus.

Call of the Abyss

Four-Star If you’re planning to use Cantarella as the sustainer of the team, this rectifier suits her perfectly as it gives her some Energy Regen while also increasing her healing bonus after using her Liberation.

Fusion Accretion

Four-Star You’ll get a bit of ATK as the secondary stat on this Rectifier. Moreover, your Resonance Skill can give you some extra Resonance Energy and increase your ATK further, making this a decent pick for sub-DPS Cantarella.

Augment

Four-Star You can get this weapon if you buy the premium tier of the battlepass, and it serves as a great four-star choice for DPS Cantarella since it provides Crit Rate as the secondary stat.

After using your Liberation, this weapon also increases her ATK by 15 percent.

Jinzhou Keeper

Four-Star This is a fairly simple weapon, but one that also works well for Cantarella’s build. It gives you some ATK as the secondary stat and some more ATK when you cast your Intro Skill.

Guardian Rectifier

Three-Star Finally, if you don’t have any of the above weapons, you can use this three-star weapon on Cantarella to get some ATK and Basic Attack DMG bonus.

Cantarella Echo Guide

The echo system in Wuthering Waves can be quite complicated since you not only have to choose the perfect set for each character, but also a primary echo for each set and main/sub-stats for each echo piece. The best echo set for Cantarella is the Empyrean Anthem with the Hecate primary echo. However, you have a bunch of choices that give similar value:

Best Cantarella Echo sets

Empyrean Anthem

This echo set is tailor-made for Cantarella as it increases her Energy Regen while also giving her a whopping 80 percent Coordinated Attack DMG, which is one of her main damage outputs.

When your Coordinated Attack gets a Crit hit, the ATK of your active resonator increases by 20 percent for four seconds.

Midnight Veil

You’ll get a similar value from this Echo set as the one above if you’re using Cantarella alongside a Havoc main DPS. This one increases her Havoc DMG by ten percent.

Furthermore, it lets you deal high damage upon triggering your Outro Skill and also gives the incoming resonator a 15 percent Havoc DMG boost.

Moonlit Clouds

Moonlit Clouds is essentially a budget version of Empyrean Anthem for Cantarella’s build, but you can use it if you don’t have the latter unlocked yet.

Rejuvenating Glow

Finally, if you’re planning to use Cantarella as the sustainer of your team, you can use this set to give her some Healing Bonus and extra ATK to all resonators.

Best Cantarella Primary Echoes

When creating Cantarella, it’s not just about focusing on the bonus sets for the echoes, but also determining the optimal primary echo among the four-cost echoes you choose to equip, as each set offers a distinct choice in this regard.

Echo Name Set Synergy With Cantarella

Hecate

Empyrean Anthem When you have this echo in Cantarella’s main echo slot, you can increase her Coordinated Attack DMG by an additional 40 percent.

Lorelei

Midnight Veil This echo gives Cantarella 12 percent Havoc and Basic Attack DMG bonus, which are both great for the type of damage she deals.

Impermanence Heron

Moonlit Clouds This echo regenerates a bit of Cantarella’s energy when its first attack hits the opponents while also letting the resonator who comes after your outro skill deal 12 percent more damage.

Bell-Borne Geochelone

Rejuvenating Glow Upon using this echo’s skill, your current team member takes reduced damage while increasing her damage by ten percent. This effect disappears when the active resonator takes three hits.

Echo Stat Priority For Cantarella

For each echo fragment you select, there are multiple options regarding its primary attribute. It’s essential to pick these echo attributes wisely as you construct Cantarella to maximize their value.

Cost 4 Crit Rate > Crit DMG
Cost 3 Havoc DMG Bonus / Energy Regen
Cost 1 ATK Percent

If your weapon’s secondary stat is Critical Rate, then it might be beneficial to prioritize Critical Damage as your primary stat when choosing a four-cost echo.

However, if your weapon doesn’t have any Crit, you’d still want to go for Crit Rate.

To achieve optimal results with Cantarella, consider employing these echoes: four (primary echo), three, three, one, and one. If you’re struggling to retrieve Cantarella’s Liberation in time, you can select Energy Regen as the main stat on one of the cost-three echoes.

In an optimal situation, it’s best to utilize a double Havoc DMG bonus for maximum damage from her. It would be beneficial to search for Energy Regen as well as Crit Rate, Critical Damage, ATK Percentage, and Basic Attack Damage bonuses on the sub-stats of each echo piece.

Best Cantarella Teams

After selecting the optimal build for Cantarella using one of the weapons and echoes listed previously, the following step involves finding suitable teammates for her. Cantarella shines in inflicting significant Havoc damage not only when she’s actively engaged but also from off-field positions due to her ability to initiate coordinated attacks through her Liberation (for more details, see below).

As a gamer, I’d say: “With her Outro ability, she amplifies the damage of Havoc and Resonance Skills on incoming Resonators. At first glance, you might consider using Cantarella as our healer, but her buff only affects one character at a time, which makes her less effective compared to Shorekeeper or Verina in terms of sustaining the team.

Unfortunately, as of now, no character is able to take full advantage of Cantarella’s outro buffs because, at present, no unit has both Havoc and Resonance Skill Damage capabilities.

The optimal squad that currently benefits most from Cantarella includes herself, Shorekeeper, and Camellya. In this lineup, Camellya takes on the role of the primary Damage Per Second (DPS) character. Cantarella enhances her effectiveness by boosting her damage output with her Outro Skill and echo equipment. Meanwhile, Shorekeeper serves as the main sustainer, offering substantial buffs to both characters active in combat.

Here’s what the rotation for this team should look like:

  • Start with Shorekeeper and use her basic and heavy attacks with the Echo and Resonance skill to build 3/4th of the concerto circle on the left of your HP. After this, use your Resonance Liberation to fill her Concerto circle before switching to Cantarella.
  • On Cantarella, use her normal combination (discussed below) to get her coordinated attack and Outro Skill as soon as possible.
  • Finally, you can switch to Camellya and use her special Resonance Skill, Liberation, and Basic Attacks to deal a ton of damage. If you execute this properly, you’ll be able to switch back to Shorekeeper before her field runs out.

In case you don’t own Camellya, consider using Havoc Rover or Danjin as a free-to-play alternative. Similarly, Verina or Baizhi could serve as substitutes for Shorekeeper when paired with Cantarella in your team setup.

Cantarella Forte Overview And Priority

Just as with all characters in Wuthering Waves, interpreting Cantarella’s kit from the in-game description might be challenging. But here’s an easier approach to grasping the essential features of her kit:

Breaking Down Cantarella’s Kit: A Simplified Explanation

Cantarella’s Abilities, Explained

In simpler terms, Cantarella possesses a trio of distinct Resonance Skills and comprises a pair each of Basic Attacks, Mid-Air Attacks, and Dodge Counters. Although it might appear complex at first glance, it’s actually quite straightforward.

  • When you first use Cantarella on the field, she can build up Trance stacks (displayed as the forte bar above your HP) while using her Basic Attack, Resonance Skill, and Resonance Liberation. The first two provide one stack each while the last provides three.
  • When you have one or more Trance stacks, you can use a Heavy Attack to start the Mirage state. In this state, Cantarella has a separate set of Basic Attacks, Mid-Air Attacks, Dodge Counter, and Resonance Skill.
  • The Basic, Mid-Air, and Dodge Counter attacks in Mirage state give her Shiver stacks with each hit (displayed between your HP and Forte bar), and with three Shiver stacks, you can trigger the third Resonance Skill for Cantarella.
  • Using both types of Resonance Skills in the Mirage state can put enemies in a Hazy Dream state, which slows their movement. If Cantarella attacks these enemies, she triggers a Jolt damage while removing the Hazy state. Other resonator attacks can also remove the Hazy state but won’t trigger Jolt.
  • Cantarella’s attacks and third Resonance Skill in the Mirage state can also heal the party members. Moreover, her Liberation can trigger a state where she unleashes a Dreamweaver as a Coordinated Attack for 21 times over the next 30 seconds.
  • Her special Intro Skill and the third hit of Mirage’s Basic Attacks can also trigger three Coordinated Attacks each.
  • Finally, Cantarella enters a special state upon using her Intro Skill. During this, every Echo Skill you use regenerates six Concerto Energy for her. Both Cantarella’s Resonance Skills in Mirage along with her Liberation are considered Echo Skills. She can essentially use four Echo Skills herself.

Cantarella Attack Combination

To maximize efficiency when using Cantarella as your secondary DPS in a team, it’s crucial to master her attack sequences. In other words, learning the right sequence of attacks will help you make the most out of Cantarella once you activate her Intro Skill, ensuring that her Resonance Liberation is ready immediately, initiating the combo.

Following Liberation, make full use of her talent to accumulate maximum Trance points. To activate Mirage mode, press and hold the Basic Attack key. It is important to employ your skill before letting go of the Basic Attack key again. This swift action will earn you three stacks of the Shiver effect.

Holding your Basic Attack in Mirage state constantly uses your Basic Attacks.

In the end, deploy your ultimate Resonance Ability and you ought to accrue sufficient Concerto points to depart from Cantarella and focus on your primary Damage Per Second (DPS) character instead. You might trigger your echo skill right before the switch, allowing you to cancel the animation in the process.

Cantarella Forte Priority

Using Cantarella, you’ll primarily inflict most of the damage through the synergistic “Coordinated Attack” from your Liberation, so it’s crucial to prioritize upgrades for this ability. After activating the Liberation, you should focus on enhancing her Forte Circuit first, followed by her skill. Since you’ll rarely use her Basic Attack, there’s no need for any upgrades there.

You might consider enhancing her Introductory Skill slightly once you’ve gathered the necessary resources, however, prioritizing the unlocking of her Innate Skills and additional capabilities is more crucial.
